Question, I am trying to inject some .cab files in the \Windows folder so I can run them with Tier AutoRun, how the heck do I do it? I can't find instructions anywhere...

Tier auto install looks in the extended rom and sd card for cab files.

Correct, if you want to install them from the \windows folder, you can use Autorun.exe. It will call the config txt file based off of the following reg keys:
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm]
"AutoRun"="\\Windows\\autorun.exe"
"AutoRunCFG"="\\Windows\\config.txt"

Just modify your config.txt, or make your own and chain it from the original config.txt. To call another config txt file, use "CFG: \Windows\name_of_config.txt" in the original.

To install a cab use "CAB: \windows\name_of_cab.cab"

Just make sure autorun.exe is cooked in and in startup (usually in OEMDrivers, along with the reg keys)

Hey buddy, what about the theme wallpaper not changing issue? Although i have found a small workaround, if change my phone to landscape and then again portrait, the wallpaper changes everywhere :D

That appears to be a bug in 23041. You're not alone. I've seen it with all 5 23041 builds I made, along with others reporting it at XDA as well. Although I wasn't aware of the workaround, so thanks for that. :)

Hey joojoobee666, fyi, I went back to using PPCK. I have working (nicely) ROMs up for the Vogue on 23037 and 23041. So, you can put those down as confirmed working if you want. Thanks much for your help, advice, and above all the files!

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I just recooked a rom with the latest 23041_96DPI, timestamp: 9/2/2009 1:48:pm, and even added Aditional Themes im my kitchen selections, and once I change the theme, it never goes back to the way it was.
Hard reset fixes that, so now I just leave the theme that I cooked with as only one to use.
Don't change Clasic Blue, and everything is OK.
Thats not a problem for me.
Otherwise I noticed that when I open a context menu like in SKTools/Menu/ the upward scrolling (to quickly get to the bottom of the menu by scrolling up), used to only be achieved by the scroll wheel.
Now I can just tap up on the 4 way pad.
NICE...

EDIT:
OK, I just downloaded again, and the timestamp is: 9/2/2009 2:20pm..
Will cook N see..
EDIT::
Great, look & feel is definetly better then the earlier builds...

I want to cook the cabs to the windows folder or any other place that gets cooked permanently so I don't have to rely on the SD card, im tired of swapping out sd cards! So my answer is NO, YOU CANT INJECT CABS INTO \WINDOWS ?

Well, I dunno if it's just coincidence or what, but the person who hosts my roms and kitchen just told me that they got a C&D notice from their server today. I don't really have any more details than that yet though.
