Hey Jojobee, the DPI files you posted for 23030 had many files missing. MSGStore.dl was missing and outlook was misbehaving coz of that. Also there were a lot of missing bitmaps and all. Just for your info.

Anyways, still cant like it on QVGA. The font rendering is absolutely disgusting, dunno why :|

Hey joojoobee666, since the loss now of Calkulin to PPCgeeks I now need to move back to the ppc kitchen and or the nightmare visual kitchen which is complicated. I saw your posts for the ppc kitchen files for 23030 and would like to use them. I know where to place them in the ppc kitchen but have no clue on what txt files to setup to cook up a rom from that base. If you have a chance can you post your project files for the kitchen. I have not used the ppc kitchen for almost a year and a half.

I was not sure where to insert the herman xip so I injected it to the Herman_Core.rar Meh, not sure if this is right.

Many thanks in advance,

Mikee

My project files are for the DevBuild of BuildOS. But, I posted a tutorial a while back for the Apache, so you should be able to use it to help you get things configured again. Try this ->http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=6523 Just make sure you copy one of the working 192 buildbase files and save it with the same naming convention.

Let me know if you need anymore help :)

(FYI, Visual Kitchen is really nice once you get to know it. I finally pulled the trigger and fully switched to it about 2 months ago and made my own. I am very happy with it)

Hmm, very interesting. The DPI's are based off of the ALL DPI for 23028 from Da_G . Looking through that pack, I don't see that dll in there either. Even more interesting is that the current 23030 ROM I am currently running does NOT have that dll in it either, but I am having no problems at all. Also, what bitmaps were missing? Again, these were directly from Da_G's DPI ALL file so IF they are missing in mine, that is because they were missing from my source.

If you could let me know what you see missing, I can post a fixed 96DPI pack, and also compare to what I have for the 192DPI's as well.

Another FYI, after doing some digging, NONE of the 230xx SYS files I currently have on me have that msgstore.dll, only my 23017 and down seem to have it.:???:

[QUOTE=joojoobee666;1111318]Well, I'm debating posting the kitchen, mainly due to time constraints, but we'll see.

Waiting for the post...Thanks for your great work..

Here's the XIP. FYI, the 23031 XIP is identical to the 23030 XIP, except that the 723 dsm was modified. So, here is a modified 23030 xip that reads 23031, just like the source :)

Ok, now that the whole story comes out, you didn't actually need to do all that,lol. All you need to do is use XIPKitchen by Lennysh. Just grab a donor xip.bin for the build you want to port to, and use the device's xip.bin that you currently have. It will port for you. That simple. If you have any questions on using it, feel free to search/ask :)

See here ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=443383

The thing is sometimes a xip is released only with MSXIPKernel folder. And in these cases I would like to know how to port. Please help. Thanks in advance.
