cant download ANY files with it, txt, rar, cab, zip, asx, nada. and ive talked to a few people who say they have the same problem already..
oh, and ive also compared my current 23004 with a working 21820 and nothin.

I dont have the download problem on my P3400i. I downloaded the bing search application cab file using internet explorer and updated Opera mini using IE in 23004 and it worked just like it should, i even used the Save As function, it also worked fine.
So i guess its got something to do with the DPI files, as common files are, well, common DPI 96 files have no such problems.

But one problem i am facing is that on every soft reset, the ringtone gets reset to the default and if that is not enough, the default one doesn't plays when a phone call comes, its silent. This problem goes only after i set a different tone. And after that if i again set the default tone, it works fine

I've had the exact same problem and have been racking my brain trying to figure out what it is.

its cause of some drm issue and previously ppl talk about it search "drm ringtone" u get some result

If you don't use the AdobeFlash in the SYS directory then just do the browsingie folder in the SYS.
I had the same issue in 217xx and 218xx until I did that fix.

Compare the folders from a working SYS and you will see what I mean.

Ok, I got it. I converted all modules on browsingie to files/dlls and got ezinput working!.

@Ankit360: I tried searching for DRM related issues with ringtone, the only one i can find is the corrupted ringtone problem, where you cannot select a ringtone file and get a message that the file has been corrupted. This is not the case with us. We can use any ringtones including wav, mp3, wma, aac etc and use them fine, but after soft reset the ringtone is set to the default one.

try using .net 3.7 I recently made sure I was running 3.7 and I have not had that problem since dont know if that is what fixed but I havent had that problem since I made the change

That must not be the case since i am using the same .NET 3.5 oem since i purchased my phone and this is the first rom in which i am getting this problem. In the past over 25-30 of my ROMs worked fine.

If anyone is interested, this is the OEMDrivers folder, OEMXIPKernel folder and a 23004 XIP, all SpinLock patched for the CDMA Touch Pro (Herman) that I ripped out of the Alltel ROM.
