Give this one a go. You will probably need to add the .VM folder from a working sys into this though. But that all depends on how your kitchen is set up.

Dear JooJoo,
First of all, THANK YOU for your great work! Without you PPCGEEKS or the PDA world does't be the same, because you ever contribute with great stuffs!
I am writing to you because I had tried all ways to get my deal, but without sucess.. so please, I really believe that you can help.
I have a Pharos Traveler 117 device and since I bought it, I am trying to cook a WM6.5, but the big problem is to extract and organize the OEM, XIP and other need files. I had tried, I guess, all tools that I found to extract this files from the original rom.. but I couldn't.. BUT I SURELY BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN GET IT!
So please, if you can help me would be much apreciate! I believe that there is a lot of users like me that wanna use WM6.5 on his Pharos Traveler 117 but till this time couldn't do that because there is no option to do it.
Follows the link to download the original rom:

For Windows XP:
http://www.pharosgps.com/support/dow...xe&cat=drivers

For Windows Vista:
http://www.pharosgps.com/support/downloads/get_binary2.asp?fname=Pharos_Traveler%20117_0409_1 .0.25.2_20090520_Vista.exe&cat=drivers

Since now, thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Erick

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Also would like to echo may thanks (JooJoo and others) who are making these contributions.

Now on to more noob questions:

I tried building both a 21867 and a 23420 (for Verizon Apache) ROM using the files in JooJoo's sig. I added them to the kitchen per the instructions (I think) by putting the xip for the apache in the apache_core file, modifiying the device base file and creating a new build base file. After starting BuildOS I can select these as a new projects and build the ROMs with no errors. However, after loading the ROM(s) my apache always halts on the initial boot image and WM never starts.

any ideas?

Thanks again everyone!!

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

By the way, I tried to cook simply 23414 - unsuccessfully. Has thought that with 23412 xip it will be started - too unsuccessfully. Though like builds are similar. Can Apache does not support something new of sys_common?
But 23420 it was started normally, short of bad working contacts

Figured out my problem...typo in the base file (xip file names don't have .enc in them anymore)

23420 up and running now :-)

Anyone have a working oem for the new Windows Live 10.7.57.801? I tried making one from the cab and the setup.dll snagged me and it didn't run properly. Wanted an oem so I could module the files.

Try this one. I have not tested it yet... I just pulled the cab right from the site, don't know why it says 2005 though? :disgust:

Hope this helps!

That's the second time you've said that in the last couple of weeks, so obviously there is a reason..

Also, no matter what device you have, there is some very useful information for chefs over in "Chef's Corner" at ED/TP.

Yep. I don't feel the need to sign up at a site that I would only visit every other month. The site might be nice but since it is HTC only it doesn't help me much.

I'll make sure not to ask any more though.

Agreed. Chefs corner has some good information for ALL cooks and chefs and is not device specific. ;)

Try this. Ported from GSM Native Diamond using the above xip as a donor.

Have you tried XIPKitchen from LennySh? After you choose your Device and Donor XIPs, you can try changing some things around in the TEMP folder before hitting the "Build New XIP" button. Just make sure you are using a GSM Diamond XIP as the Device XIP, then you can use any 23064 XIP (you can use any one of the XIPs attached to my PPCKitchen 23064 files post or the one drellisdee posted as well).

yep i tried that as well but the xip wont boot at all it might be that the native nk adresses are somehow wrong that only prb can manage to port it probably gona have to use 6.1 xip for it to work ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Can someone fix icontactbe6_4_5 OEM for me?
It keeps getting me cert errors. :angry7:
It works as long as I use it's links or run it directly from .exe.
It does not work when I try to open it up from the contacts button on the M2D people tab.](*,)

If I install it though the CAB afterwords it works great! It's attached also.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks JooJoo

23064 work with my P51 and Ipaq612C very well. However, ie from sys does not have favorites button as the older one but it has X button. This can be fixed by using ie from the older one.

found my own answer :)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Welcome]
"Disable"=dword:FFFFFFFD
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Customer Feedback]
"Redirect"=""
"Group"=dword:1
"Hide"=dword:1
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\ErrorReporting]
"Redirect"=""
"Hide"=dword:1
"Group"=dword:9

Build 23063 is the latest build of the Comm 3 Branch.
The build in the new PPC's are from Comm 2 Branch. Where the buttons were "normal".

Well, in 0C0A, the langs doesn't work really ok. If you translate some dialogs, for example, the initial screen of contacts, the nexts screens doesn't open. There's something i can do to fix that?
