Here is a non-hexed (real) 23064 xip.bin for porting. JoJo you know you can build xip from mxipkernel pkg along with the other pkgs from older build with bepe buildxip.exe correct?

@DomSim,

Can you or someone else take the time to explain what all needs to be done to upgrade windows 6.5 Emu?
I can change things in 23053 SYS that was supplied here a while back, but I can not upgrade the SYS files. ](*,)

Any Help would be great!

Yessir, that's what I normally do. But when I compared the 2 XIPs, the modules were all identical. The DSM edit is much easier and quicker. :)

Oh, I should also mention, your work on the LZX stuff is really cool. I might be hittin' you up about that. ;)

Hi JooJoo,
Sorry, I am a newbie on cooking.
About my kitchen, it cooks for Eten devices, so create a .dat, uses the bepe tools.
I believe that is diferente than the Visual Kitchen that the most part of people use.
When I use your files to cook, I ever have some issues with resolution icon or it just doesn't works.
I had read in some part here, a ask about SYS and XIP in a old format style to cook using old kitchens.. and when I use that files my rom was perfect.
If you can help would be great!

Thanks a lot!
Erick

Agreed with Lmiller1708. I just switched over to it myself. Made the exe files modules as well, no problems.

PPCKitchen files for 21867 for the PPCK devs out there. The DPI are the same as 21864 except the 0409 packages have been updated (there was no DPI in the source). All the other standard notes apply.

The XIP rar contains XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue. All are spinlock patched except for the Apache. Thanks to Mattsm for Titan XIP testing for me.:headbang:

SYS_21867_Common
http://www.4shared.com/file/13838878...67_Common.html

SYS_21867_192DPI_0409
http://www.4shared.com/file/13839205...2DPI_0409.html

SYS_21867_96DPI_0409
http://www.4shared.com/file/13839092...6DPI_0409.html

Warning! If these files are used in any other kitchen other than PPCKitchen, please be sure that you fix the file attributes BEFORE or DURING cooking, otherwise problems will ensue (see FIX here). Also, removed packages are attached.

Thanks to Ankit360 for the goods! :headbang:

Ok, what you can do then is extract the common rar file and the 96DPI rar file into your SYS folder. Also, download and extract the Removed packages rar and do the same thing. (Do not use the 192DPI package folders) Once that is done, check this post since file permissions will need to be fixed.

Your kitchen probably also requires a XIP for your device. Try XIPKitchen from LennySh here and use any one of the attached XIPs to my PPCKitchen posts as the "Donor" XIP.

Yes it is a code branch. They are many explications in this thread and the one on XDA here. You Just have to read.:study: I would recommend backwards...

But if you want a quick explication:
21xxx is a comm 2 branch (WM 6.1 interface) Old but not dead! Pretty fast and Stable if that's what you are going for...

23xxx is a comm 3 branch (WM 6.5 interface) Newsiest bugs here and there but it is worth it to have the newsiest look and feel (Just my two cents)...

The removed packages on my PPCKitchen file posts contains the Windows Live and Office packages for 96DPI and 192DPI from the the build it's posted under.

Easiest way to add them is to REMOVE the Office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote) and Windows Live from the OEM rars in PPCKitchen. Then, you can add the removed packages into the SYS Commons and DPI rars. If you DO NOT remove the packages from the OEM rars, you will have duplicate GUID errors in PPCkitchen. Do not forget to remove all file attributes from the packages before inserting them into the rar. Otherwise, you will get DSM errors during the build.

Note: Windows Live and Office have not really changed from what is already supplied in PPCKitchen as far as I am aware of.

Ok, what if you swap gwes.exe (can be found in Common\OS) from an older build and recook? (i.e. the one that I put in 23060 which was 23053). I have a theory, and want to test. Leave this XIP at 23060 for now. If it boots with the older gwes.exe, try the newer XIP.

Also, check your PM.

Give this one a go. You will probably need to add the .VM folder from a working sys into this though. But that all depends on how your kitchen is set up.
