Yeah, I have a feeling the problem isn't actually in the XIP at all, but possibly a driver problem with the Apache OEMDrivers and the newer builds, but we have not been able to narrow it down yet. I attached an LZX enabled Apache XIP for u to try in case your porting didn't go so well, but I doubt it will help.:disgust:

Yes, has not helped ((

There can be something in SYS_COMMON? By the way build 23412 works normally, and 23414 - it is not booted. Nevertheless 23420 it is again booted normally :???:

I cannot find any difference between them that would cause it. The only thing I can think is that 23420 is working fine because it has the gwes.exe from 23053 in it.

If you are bored and want to experiment, try replacing the gwes.exe folder in the OS package in the SYS_23420_Common.rar (back your rar up first) with the attached one and see what happens.:drunken: This is gwes.exe that came with 23420, I have a hunch it won't boot with it.

I'm not bored but I like to experiment )))
Did exactly what you said it and boots fine

Well, there went that idea. Just to be sure you are using the 23420 gwes, are your dialog boxes now missing the buttons?

Trying out your new files right now, they seem to be missing all the office stuff. Is this ok?
Thanks! For your work again!

Edit:
Never Mind the Office_DPI_96 file was still in there... Removed and no more errors. Building right now!

Yeah, I caught that about 15 mins ago and updated the post again. Also, entertainment_DPI_96 was missing from the source, though it shouldn't matter a whole lot since all that is there is a dsm.

Let us know. :)

Does anyone know of any good taskbar/topbar QVGA icons or dialer that work with the recent builds (>23060)? The taskbar icons i had seem to change the soft key icons to just a menu icon.

The XIP rar contains XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue, all are spinlock patched except for the Apache. BTW, if you ARE an Apache user, let us know what kind of luck you had. I made slight change to the XIP (though I don't believe they are the issue.)

UPDATE: I have some NEW (as of 10/14, 8:50am EST) 96DPI files up and the problem appear to be resolved

SYS_23069_Common

SYS_23069_192DPI_0409
http://www.4shared.com/file/14069014...2DPI_0409.html

SYS_23069_96DPI_0409 (Updated 10/14, 8:50am EST. Confirmed working. Completely redone from new source. Found a missing package from source and fixed, also removed Office_DPI_96, left in by mistake.)
http://www.4shared.com/file/14082216...6DPI_0409.html

Warning! If these files are used in any other kitchen other than PPCKitchen, please be sure that you fix the file attributes BEFORE or DURING cooking, otherwise problems will ensue (see FIX here). I have attached the removed packages as well if you do use these in another kitchen.

Thanks to Monkeybape for the goods, again! :headbang:

Hello JooJoo,
May you pleeeeeeeease post this files with old format.. I mean for kitchen that has old style? It could be the new one :D 23071
Thanks dude for your great work!

Attached are the icons I use. They are for Classic Blue and rockandrepublicblack themes. Just place them in your windows folder and soft reset.

I use tsowentaskbar6_WM6_5_version for the top task bar, then place the attached tapres.96.dll file in your windows folder and your EV icon will show up correctly also.

PPCKitchen files for 23071 for the PPCK devs out there. I hexed the XIPs to read 23071 since the source was 23070. All of the usual notes apply. Woulda had these up 8hrs ago, but the ppcgeeks forum wasn't playing real nice. :(

The XIP rar contains XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue, all are spinlock patched except for the Apache. BTW, if you ARE an Apache user, let us know what kind of luck you had. This XIP is now LZX enabled (thx Drellisdee) if you choose to do that, maybe it will help, but doubt it.:drunken:

UPDATE 10/16, 12:05pm, EST: The Apache issue are almost resolved, finally. There are currently 2 common files posted here. The first one should work fine for everyone EXCEPT Apache users, and it is suggested to use the first one if you can. The first one will leave you with more space free in slot 0. Apache users, use the second one for now. I hope that I can get the issue narrowed down to one or two modules so there won't be a need to post both, but this is how it is for now. So, Apache users, Enjoy! And don't forget to thank dennygun for helping me test these today!:headbang:

Ahhh yes, I should have mentioned, I hexed the XIP to read 23071 for aesthetic reasons. I will update my post.

Hmmm...interesting. All I did was use Drellisdee's modified XIP as for the Donor, which has some changed Apache modules in it.

works for me, sometimes if you look in taskmanager you can see the config app has loaded but it went into the background, so just click on it and there you g0.

Bumping my own question. I'd really like to run 21869 (not finding myself a fan of the new interface) but all my builds just go black after the initial boot screen. Used the same process to add the files to the kitchen as I did for 23420 (which I can run just fine).

Device is an Apache w/2.05 bootloader and VZW carrier.

Barring a bunch of troubleshooting help (which I know can be a pain) is there anyone that has or can build a working build 21869 for Apache that they could post somewhere? All I would need extras wise is the HTC camera and SD support.

When do things like this get officially added to the kitchen BTW? I see many unoffcial builds flying around but no official ones?

Thanks everyone!!

JooJoo,

My Apache works fine on your 23071.

There is one minor problem, in that even though I checked SD and SDHC in the build, it does not read my 8GB SDHC Micro Card. It worked in 23412????

I did go back and use my 2GB SD Mini Card and it worked after a rebuild with SD only checked????

Thanks
