I'm sure its due to modules are converted to files in 96 or 192 dpi source and I faced many troubles ( i.e device went very slow, active sync don't connect and etc ) but no one cares me. :(

However, I have manually converted to modules again and its working fine now.

MS calculator is a .net app, make sure you include some form of .net

Thank you. Yes, I selected the newer icons in the ppck. I will deslect that oem from the build process and try again.

This might have already been covered, and I apologize if I missed it, but was is the difference between the 96dpi and the 192dpi sys file? I am running a Titan. I have always used the 96dpi file. Should I switch to the 192dpi or stay with the 96?

Thanks,
Jeff

stay w/96, it has to do w/the resolution on your phone. you cannot use 192.

& try not to double post when possible :thumbright:

It's not as easy as just adding the .exe -- look for a .net 3.5 cab install.

I don't know, probably a shellres file. The Customer Feedback program is ceipui.exe, which you can delete from SYS\Shell, as long as you get the patched mxip_notify.vol.

What do you need that package for, seems pointless to me. Also, dsi76 already told you how to remove the icon with a simple reg edit, so what's the problem?

If this relates to your problem, try removing it ( withing your device ) and test. It gave me some trouble with touch screen so I removed too and now it works fine. :)

BTW; There was also a problem with 96 or 192 dpi source I got. Its with files which should be modules. When I converted from files to modules, my device became faster and normal as older versions ( i.e 21234 ). :)

Hey look, from my 21725 rom with .net 3.5:

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/e...creen01-42.png

I use the HTC Calc in my rom, which hides Mobile Calc, but I dug the .exe out of the windows folder to check, and bam it works!

What sys are you using. It's possible that you just have the Calc shortcut in your sys that typically points to a Calc skin. This is the way that Calkulin puts his sys' together.

How is that helpful though? I know I never said it was broken for everyone, just for us.

I have .net 3.5 apps installed and working, so thats not it either.

Stating it works for you doesn't really solve the problem ;)

I patched the xip and oemdrivers. I put it all tougher in PPCK and 21725 seems to work well. no2chem mentioned benchmarks on his page about nueSpinLockPatcher, was this to measure speed? I caint seem to get to his page anymore.

It's helpful because you know know that it's not a universal issue, and that the issue is not with .net 3.5 vs. 2.0.

Also, I edited my post asking which sys you are using, and pointed out that you may just be using a shortcut, and not the actual program. Can you post the MobileCalculator.exe from your kitchen?

I'm trying to help you, if you don't want my help that's OK too.

That's the same one I'm using. Perhaps you have an incomplete .net package. Maybe try the .net cab install just for giggles.

You could also try the shortcut version and skinned mobile calculator. I can post it if you want, but it's not the latest version.

What's the exact exception that it's throwing anyway?

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

That would be great if you could post that.

The .net package is one I have been using since 21232. I've just been copying it to the different SYS's. So I guess it could be an incomplete package. I kind of wish I could have a for sure test before recooking just for the calculator.

Is solitaire a .net app as well? The program works, but it is missing the menu softkey.

Blazingwolf and I share this issue as well.

Here's an older Calc package with a Black skin attached. Put the package in your OEM folder, and use the exe to replace the current one in your sys. Good luck.
