Where's my 6.5 kernel damnit!

i think it is modules, that was what caused mine not to boot

Yeah, good call. I saw it too and was about to post about it (was out all day), but luckily I looked below and saw your post. I'm sure it will work fine now :)

Use XipKitchen. Very easy to use for first timers.

No carrier has released a 6.5 ROM for the CDMA Touch Pros yet. Supposedly, Sprint has "confirmed" a 6.5 update for thier Touch Pro customers, so we are all just waiting :disgust:

Lmiller1708 and JooJooBee666,

THAT WAS IT!!!!

Thank you all for your help!

I will try to be a better programmer and I promise not to copy stuff, just do it right.

Thanks again.

I will await the next iteration with baited breath, now that I think that I know what I am doing.

The bing cab and live search cab don't work for me either. Advanced Configuration won't launch as well..

well the only thing those two have in common is that they both need .net 3.5 or higher to work.. so thats what i'd check

I'm using the same .net 3.5 version that I always do. I guess it would be worth checking other .net 3.5 dependent apps though. I'm back to 21921 now, but that might be worth a shot..

It is the .net, Live search and advanced config both use .net 3.5

Maybe you want to make an all in one pack for netcf, 2.0, 3.5, and 3.7....thats what I use

Has anyone made the htc mega packages ppckitchen friendly? If so,would you mind sharing with the rest of the class? I started doing this myself but I'm not sure which ones I shouldn't bother with. I have all the option xml's done but I froze on the initflashfiles cuz I know there's a newer way of doing it with provxml I just dont understand it yet. about 5 of the pkgs had these already in them and they copy the lnk's for me. also it looks like the initflashfile.dat does it for alot of them? Now should I be Recmod-ing all of the modules from these or should some be left as modules? Re; notification enhancement could someone list ALL the dependancies on other pkg's. (i should be using pe explorer to tell me but its unavailablle atm)

GSM or CDMA Diamond? I can't get 21935 or 21936 to boot on my CDMA Diamond either. Indagroove has gotten it to boot but he's having issues with programs like live search. It seems that everyone that has gotten it to boot on a diamond is using an ervius kitchen...

i got my touch pro to boot finally in ervirus kitchen, after i didnt include menu enhancements [i just moduled it, thats probably why].
Seems like these two builds dont want to cooperate with some of the modules. Could these builds handle them differently?

I have tried removing everything from the oem folder except a carrier oem and the necessary OEM folders (drivers, misc, lang, version) as well as cleaning everything out of the SYS thats not necessary (office, widgets, remote desktop, etc) and still no booting. I'm running out of ideas.

So, it is the .net causing my issue with live search. I dunno if the package I've been using got corrupted at some point, or is no longer compatible.

I got my .net 3.5 apps working with the all in one pack, but it seemed to cause other issues (locked up and then froze at first splash screen after soft reset). I'm gonna try some other .net packages to see what I can get working. I did notice that the newer .net 3.5 packages have more modules than the package I have been using, so maybe that's the issue. But I seem to remember that wen I used the newer .net 3.5 packages it caused some YouTube issues (can't remember what exactly).

Anyway, thanks for the help in isolating my issue.

FYI (in case anyone cares) -- I got it all working using my same old .net cf 3.5 package that I always used (just copied from an older sys). I guess the one that I had copied previously had somehow gotten corrupted. I'm back in business -- YAY!!

Is anyone who is running 21936 getting the weirdo scroll bar in the phone canvas (both HTC and stock WM dialer)?

It's cutting off the right side of the dialer, and makes it tricky to dial with the WM default dialer.
