You can add it to your xip.bin by dumping with xipport and replace the files/modules and rebuild xip. That will update your build.

Hello everyone.

I have some problem with build 23016. It isn't booting, hangs at 2nd splash screen but network led is blinking so that means XIP is fine. Something wrong in SYS. :-(

Anyone has faced this problem?

Best Regards

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I saw the Hitler facsimile avatar the other day and it struck me as something that is questionable. I read it and saw that it was probably being used as a way of demeaning Hitler. I did have to view it a couple of times to determine that explanation as I did not think that the author would blatantly put something on a Public forum with a meaning to defend others. I didn't post anything about it until now.
I saw that some were very offended by the avatar and I think rightfully so.
But to jump to the conclusion that the author is racist without speaking to him first may not have been prudent.
With that being said, the avatar is being shown publicly and I think others have a right to post their opinions of it publicly.
I think that most people would know that posting a pic of Hitler, arguably the most hated pos in the history of civilization, in a way whose meaning may not be clear to some, would raise some eyebrows to say the least.
Btw, I stumbled upon this thread because I used the new View Groaned Posts feature and a post got my attention beginning with Wtf :)

Did you recmoded some modules?

This could be a reason, other reason could be even the XIP.
Maybe an old xip or something wrong when ported to your device.

Also replace SQM with one that you find on the forum.

Hope this helps

It doesn't seems xip problem either. However, I'm testing only the xip with working sys now.

I don't use SQM. I always remove it from SYS. :)

Edit; XIP Tested and its working fine. So SYS has the problem.

Recmod IE packages as well as Adobe Flash like in previous builds as we used to do in previous builds. Also, if you are trying to use the shell32.exe from 21935, it wont work. Use the one from 21928 as well as the start menu background fix i posted (in case you have a qvga device). These work marvelously well. The build is quiet stable and fast.

OK I will try Recmod IE packages. I don't adobe flash!

Yes, I have qvga but I haven't touched shell32.exe.

Do not remove custsat.dll from SQM package, all other modules and *.rgu files can be removed. Also you should not remove packageinfoapi.dll from FWUpdate package.
Assign (hidden+system+readonly) attributes for *.provxml and *.dsm files in dump.

Yeah, I know.

I'm using dummy custsat so thats why I removed SQM packages. Dummy FWUpdate packages is also fine. Still same problem after recmod'ing ie packages.

What the hell I'm missing. If I use working SYS ( 23009 ), it works fine. So there is no problem in OEM and XIP.

Never faced such problem before.... :-(

Ok guys, 23016 is working prefectly now.

The problem was with lang come with the source. No idea what the donor made and I wasted whole day today. :-(

I had downloaded from here.

However, SYS common is fine. Now I'm testing lang with all dpi provided by da_g. Hope it works

Edit: OK, lang provided by da_g works perfect!

BTW I have some info : More the modules, more will be the speed of OS. As my master cornelha said, Modules shouldn't converted to files and files shouldn't be converted to modules so that mean, the modules came from source is good be as modules and shouldn't be converted to files.

As I have seen all the upcoming WinMo 6.5 or 6.1 sources, will be have files inside the modules so while building, the modules will be deleted and files will be used. If we remove the files inside the modules, the OS may become faster and I have experienced it.

Try and see what happens. FYI; Most of modules will be in OS and Shell packages and will be having files inside modules so remove them, cook and taste your meals. :D

I thought someone said it already so I will go ahead and say it....everything in the Mega pack relies on another package to work properly

HTC Scroll2.dll only works in WM6.5, You might beable to substitute it for HTCScroll.dll....but idk if M2D and Menu will work correctly with it

Cracing can you post please the working dpi96 link for lang and other res?

I used da_g sources but mine still hangs on 2nd splash screen (doesnt show the tap to align).
I havent also touched the shell32.exe of 21935. Do i have to replace it with the 21928 one? XIP is good for sure.

Thanks in advance!

Ok here you go. But this is also the same given by da_g.

It isn't dpi fault thought. Use the 0409 lang from da_g source also.

Hope it works

JooJooBee666, Help! Or anyone else!

I have an Apache which I have upgraded to 6.5 with the 21500 PPCKitchen.

I have downloaded the files you have posted and put them into the Kitchen.

1. Put the 23016 Common and 96dpi rar files in the Kitchen folder
2. Extracted the XIP files and placed the Apache core file in the Kitchen folder.
3. Created buildbase file WM6.5_96DPI_QVGA_23016_409.txt
4. Added the BaseGroup XipFilename to the Apache_WM6.1.txt

Ran the Kitchen with nothing selected without incident.

Flashed the phone.

It will not go past the Boot Screen with the red numerals.

The exact same results with your previous 2300x files.

Please, Tell Me What I did Wrong! This is so frustrating!

Thanks very much.

I had the same problem with 23016 and it was due to LANG packages ( Not sure which one ) so first try using all the lang packs from working build and than checkout whats wrong in 21935 lang packages.
