see, that's the thing, I built one for a sprint guy, all I did was change carrier, did not change any other selections, and stuff was broken, had sms issues and whatnot, not sure what about sprint carrier oem could be breaking things. I am just using da_g's latest sys from over at xda, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474406 and the same xip posted in this thread.

I'm trying to build a Diamond ROM using Calku's kitchen. I'm using the PkgToolsBuildOS-5.3.exe to do the building after copying over SYS and XIP. The problem is, when it gets to the G'Reloc stage it fails with this error.

"Not enough memory in slot 00."

I imagine I'm not doing something correctly, and would certainly appreciate some guidance. thanks.

It's the new "Bee friendly" interface. You have to do a dance on your screen to find and launch the really sweet apps.

Didn't like it when first exposed ... but starting to grow on me just a little. Looking forward to Mozilla Fennec more than wm6.5 ...

Not seeing much new there except that I can move the icons up or down. Dialer still looks good though.

Have you tried using IMGFS tools to manually rebuild the ROM? Also, how exactly did you copy the XIP and SYS over?

It is a pretty Bold Statement to claim that the new browser will elimanate the need of third party ones considering PIE has been the worst of the bunch forever. Did it really take them that long to realize their browser sucked or is it just more propaganda regarding the new browser and it will be more of the old with a facelift.....

Thanks conflipper for your great work. How can I disable honeycomb? I did successfully port to BenQP51 and Touch elf but I am not familiar with the honeycomb.

I just use this sys http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=474406 and xip from this thread, and build with ppckitchen, have to clean out some stuff, just a note to people that get no booters, make sure you have a wince.nls included in your sys, some cookers keep that in xip, but I don't think the xips here include that, it will stick at first bootsplash without it. other than that, that vga sys seems to work quite well, I don't really mod much on it except the default wallpaper, and clean out duplicate oem's that throw duplicate errors when used with ppckitchen. I'm not really a hardcore tweaker, which is why I use that sys, all is don't for me, just have to set it up and press play

Will this work on an Alltel Titan? I'd like to know before I possibly brick my phone (which would suck).

Diamond on Bell (but I'm happy to have some sort of generic one if its less work and still works)

I appreciate the encouragement, but I'm new to this and struggling at the moment.

I tried copying the SYS folder from the Raphael wm6.5 Beta 6 kitchen from xda into a Diamond Kitchen, but get "integer overflow" errors out of G'Reloc. Apparently this is the SYS that Cloudyfa is using for his Diamond ROM at xda. Does anyone know if any preparatory work is necessary before I would build a Diamond ROM with a Touch Pro SYS, or would I just copy the Raphael/Touch Pro SYS as-is. Are there any steps in building a hybrid ROM if you pulled the XIP from another source different from the SYS? I appreciate the help.

make sure you bring over greloc.exe, and wmreloc.exe, greloc there is a forwarder for wmreloc that allows for more module relocations, and gets rid of the integer overflow issue

thanks. copied that over, and that fixes that issue. It runs through the grelocking stage fast, but just dumps out a 1kb RUU_signed.nbh file :-(

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I'm hoping you might have an answer for me. Here is what I have done:

Tried porting over XIP from conflipper but kept failing (i haven't completely learned how 'YET')
I dl'ed Merdin's ROM from this thread, it works but it is full of sprint stuff (I have verizon)
Using Calkulins 1.4 kitchen, extracted rom to get ROM folder (this I know how to do)
Added conflippers SYS and Calkulins OEM folders

I can get a working ROM but cannot for the life of me get 'CUSTOMIZATIONS' to run. I have to physically go in and manually run arcsoft, etc cabs.

Do you by chance have any thought as to what I could be doing wrong???

(I sent out a few PM's reagrding this also but thought I'd post here too)

Thanks in advance!!!

Chuck

P.S. I'm still learning so be easy please!

Touch Pro ROM Only, DO NOT TRY ON DIAMOND

Here is a rom for everyone to play with. I just made it real fast, but if you want a feel for it, then give it a shot and see how it works.

Also it should be fully dumpable for anyone that would like to try it. or use the oem or anything from it.

Drop this into someone else RUU folder. I just did the basic folder here. A lot of the work here is from Da_G on xda, thank him for his work. I took his system and tweaked it a little. Give it a shot everyone.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/myiqew...RUU_Signed.rar

This is not mean to be a full production rom from me, it is just meant to help others, and give everyone an idea about 6.5. It does work to send and recieve calls, sms, and emails. PIE is fully working, also with the icons on the buttom. Give it a shot, but it is a beta rom.
