my observations exactly. i dont know if everyone's using any special kitchen or tools for cooking this build. But I use Bepe's plateformbuilder kitchen for cooking my ROMs :( I get stuck on splash screen itself :( Hope to see some helpful replies to this problem

Maybe I should try PPCKitchen. I do need an excuse to anyway, since Guru says it's better. I've used it lots of times with the ppckitchen base and oems, but never with my own, so I guess I'll have to look at the profects file, and figure out how to configure. Can you just throw your OEM/SYS/ROM folders in the build os folder and cook or something, or do they have to be zipped and a txt project file made?

Also, has anyone successfully build ad booted a 21159 CDMA Diamond ROM? I haven't seen any yet, and was wondering if it may be a bunk XIP. I think the error I was getting was something like the end address of the xip was smaller than the start address. I'm no XIP genius, so what the heck is up with that? I tried inserting into another payload with XIPortEx, but it didn't work, and had some other error. That's why I wonder if the Diamond XIP is bunk.

i've got a bootable ROM i was playing w/last night for the diamond. i'll upload it, but it's definitely not fully functional.

in order to get the rom to boot i found i had to insert the XIP included on the 1st post, and to deselect the majority of the OEM's

I have gotten it working, but it did take me a little time since I'm kind of a n00b lol. I'm using the sys and payload from Con's post on page 31, and the XIP from the very first post.

Edit: Doh! I'm just too slow...

Heyyyyy SO who's excited for the official WM6.5 unveiling tomorrow??

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

alright, here's a booting 6.5 rom for the diamond. still need to go through and work it over. this was a combination of the new SYS, and a 6.5 diamond ROM i pulled apart over on xda, but i plan to go back through the original one here as soon as i get some coffee.

give it time to boot, it takes a few mins -
http://rapidshare.com/files/198476604/RUU_signed.nbh

NOT fully functional for day-to-day use yet (sprint carrier w/functional phone)

*alright, got my coffee in hand... i'm uploading the ROM folder w/the xip already inserted, maybe it will help some people out.

i plan to sit down later this afternoon and see if i can't dig through this sys a little more.

switch off the interface animation of your own necessary change (SYS \ OS under RGU-ri).

Hi SOHKis, thanks for the ROM. However I just flashed and it doesn't get past the boot screen. I am also using a Sprint Diamond. Any ideas why this would be?

EDIT: nevermind, looks like I needed to wait several minutes.

So I just tried this and I have a few immediate reactions.

On the plus side, it seems pretty response.

- I couldn't see Internal Storage.
- I could not send an SMS (clicking on "New" does nothing).
- The battery indicator seems messed up. In settings it's correct, but on the title bar it's incorrectly low.
- The screen just turns off if the power plug isn't inserted. Not sure if this related to the battery problem.

If anyone knows fixes for these, I'm all ears! thanks.

yeah that's one of the 1st one's i've gotten working, just got home from swapping my swaybar and endlink so now i'm ready to dig into this ROM.

gonna look through the one i DLed earlier from xda and see if there's anything that catches my eye. *appears to be protected even though he said it was dumpable, everything is in the sys folder

i was reading somewhere about the battery indicator, something about the threshold...

I was going to try the same thing myself, using the SYS from the CDMA ROM from xda. Being a n00b at this myself, what exactly do you use to extract the SYS? prepit? And are you saying because it's protected, that we cannot extract or dump the SYS files? thanks!

put the RUU_Signed.nbh in the "base rom" folder inside the kitchen (if the .nbh is named something else, rename it to RUU_Signed.nbh)

open the calkulin's htc kitchen.cmd , select #2, then select #1. it will extract the rom into the temp folder

*which cdma rom are you referring to? the ND4SPD rom is a GSM rom. i think the majority of the roms over there are

did you just copy the SYS over that was in the temp folder? it's not gonna work like that and you're gonna have a hard fight w/those duplicates. due to the protection on his rom, the entire rom gets dumped into the -betarom- folder.

I have been checking out the honeycomb screenshots as they crop up and I have to say... I don't get it.

It's some program icons in a hex grid. I'm not sure what I'm missing. Is there some revolutionary element to this interface that I am not seeing in these pics?

Anyway, the new dialer seems cool. Looking forward to that.
