Here's the TUT. ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=438676

If it's puking out on you, that's usually because of overlaps in Slot 0 (the first section of the map.txt). You will have to look at the map.txt from a working XIP and manually reallocate the modules based of the addresses in there for the modules.

As far as using the files from Da_G's kitchen, you just need to dump your XIP, write maps, make Packages and remove the MSIXIPKernel Modules (leaving the corresponding text file for the module) and put the one's from the kitchen in place. Update the text file with the new module size (calculate by adding up the S00* file sizes). I'm not sure this step is totally necessary, but it can't hurt. Then, XIPPort will puke out because it's almost a guarantee that you will have overlaps. Fix em like a said and you should be good.

As far as donor's, I'll probably have some xip's up in a bit along with PPCK files.

Thanks. Its not so much that its puking on me, I am just trying to figure out why pagepool modifications keep it from booting.

They have always worked before.

Does it matter if you make the page pool smaller or larger?

Guys and gals!
I would offer not to use 23003 SYS from current Da_G's kitchen because of wakeup issues. Check your devices - leave them on a table for 5 minutes - and you won't be able to wake them up....
Something's gone wrong with dumping or whatever.
That's the 23003 SYS and XIP that really works: http://rapidshare.com/files/25225962...P_SYS_DUMP.rar

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Well, not trying to be expert on this subject but i faced the same problem described by AndrewSh and dddrko and i solved it by increasing my pagepool a bit. On my phone, anything less then 5 MB as pagepool causes this problem. Optimal pagepool settings differ from device to device so cant tell you what exact value will work for you. But try increasing in steps of 1 MB.

@XDA2_Haseeb: Buddy you have named the file wrong at rapidshare, it says 23001. Or is it the other way

Havent tried smaller than the default 8mb, but even 1mb larger fails.

Ironically enough, it works fine if I dont touch it at all. Or, it works fine with a modded pagepool on a different SYS.

Im really having trouble narrowing it down.

try using XIPPorter to realloc the .VM folder in the sys you are using

There are several reports on XDA.

I guess my only question is, where did the "working" SYS come from?

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

5 Attachment(s)
PPCKitchen files. Browsingie and AdobeFlash are recmodded. IPSECVPN, ENTERPRISE and LiveSearch (since it will yell about an update to Bing) are options in the kitchen under system. The 96DPI are based off of the known working 23001 I posted. This is the developers thread, so you know the drill. Also, Total Commander seems to have an issue displaying the icon of a selected item. This goes for both Da_G's SYS and AndrewSh's SYS. Currently, the issue is unresolved. (Updated SYS_23003_Common below to work around this)

The Herman XIP (CDMA Touch Pro) is the only XIP tested (that was no fun, this S.O.B. did NOT want to port), but the rest all look good.

SYS_23003_Common_updated (Added 7-6-09 to fix issues listed below. Updated at 7-7-09 at 12:15am. since I left WindowsLive in it probably caused some duplicate GUID errors. My bad.)
http://www.4shared.com/file/11644062...n_updated.html
(GWES.exe has been replaced by the 23001 version. This addresses the Total Commander selected item issue. Compime.dll has been replaced by the 21731 version. This addresses the issues with Opera and keyboard input.)

I have a weird problem with 23003 - in File Explorer, the selected item's icon is all screwed up, can show anything from a black icon, to bits of other icons, like Opera, etc. Is there something I have missed, or configured incorrectly? Thanks DT

96dpi will not boot past setup screen cause poutlook.exe problem.
Dummy SQM folder is missing

I believe this is why. Pulled from 23001 and testing now

Edit: booted fine

The common files were updated on my post. I don't know what I was doing when I posted that earlier. The one that is posted there now is working fine on my Touch Pro. No Sleep Of Death and the Dummy SQM is there so everything is hunky-dory. Thanks for the info.

Fair enough. I have one issue left.

My today settings where I can choose a theme is completely blank, while I know the themes exist in \windows. Ideas?

The Themes in the kitchen are set as hidden (*.tsk). This doenst work with windows. So you'll have to copy them from a previous build (a not udk build of dpi), where they're are not set to hidden.

Then they'll work fine

Hi Everyone, i am facing an issue with these recent builds. I cannot input passwords in java applications. When i enter a password field, it shows real characters instead of usual asterisks. And after entering password when i press OK, the password doesn't appear in the field.

What can i do to resolve this? I am using 96 dpi phone.

Hi
This's caused by "compime.dll" module in SYS - Shell , use an other from 21900 ou 21725 or 21728 or the Emulator 21234 to replace , it work for me .

Al 2.... 5.0.50 and .60 have this issue for DPI96 .

Maybe that's why I didn't have the issue. I added my own dummy SQM package. Unless the sleep of death was caused by something else. I do remove some SYS packages from my ROM as well, so maybe I just skirted the issue.

I've been having issues with nuePowerCPL since I switched to 6.5. It has caused freeze ups and everything. I emailed no2chem so we'll see what he says.
