joojoobee666 or anyone, can you give me a link to something that explains how to take the files Da_G is releasing and convert them to compatible rars for PPCK?

New Wmo 6.5 Top Taskbar Not Working on any new builds

I have issues getting the top task bar to pop down. Nothing happens. I have replaced shellres.192.dll with a custom one for better icons. Is this why it may be failing? Is the new task bar dependent on the stock shellres file? If anyone can shed some light on this please let me know. It is the only issue I am having with all the newer builds.

Cheers,

Mikee

I found the top taskbar to be invisible, but still there. You just have to tap it once, then poke around. The volume is just under the signal icon.

Since 23041 it only pops down when you are on the home screen. Otherwise you can't seem to click on it or anything on it. I hope it's a bug because it's really annoying to not be able to access the bar from anywhere.

FYI: Blurfactor in Titanium.cpr controls the brighness of the font. change to 1 make text brighter.

i was looking around the file and played around with values for blurfactor. just thought I would shared.

BTW 23047 rocks :headbang:

I went through this if you use anything other than stock it will give problems. I have not had time to work on this part, but I am sure there is a way to customize the stock shellres. I am just using the stock and all is working fine. I went from a custom shellres to the stock to fix this for now.

This is probably because you used a customized icon pack of some sort. MS has been making lots of changes to the resource dll's. I have been having loads of fun (notice the sarcasm) in keeping my tsowen customized icon dll's up to date for the new builds.

If you interested in doing that, you just need a resource editor like Restorator 2007, Recmod the dll's in question, extract your resource (i.e. icon, bmp, or whatever) and import into the new dll, or Vice-Versa, then reversemode the dll when done. It's a pain...

Yeah, just ran into that. I used a 23045 mui on my 23047 on accident. Guess what? Problem came back. I was just going to start going through folders systematically to identify, but then I saw that post from Que PPC. Very good info.

Hmm, still does not work from home screen for me. Meh, annoying as hell. Oh well. Granted, this is still not final code. =P Thanks for your reply.

PPCKitchen file for 23047 for the PPCK devs out there. The DPI are from Da_G so everything seems to be in order on the DPI's (thanks to the guys on "the Force Development Team" for abusing their titans for me). All the other usual notes apply here. O yeah, FYI there are a few bugs with appearance on this build. If you go to "Today Settings" or "Home" (depending on the initflashfiles.dat used), the Items screen has magenta around the "X" boxes. This is how it came. And one other note. The Voip/VoipOS packages are now an option under "System"

The XIP rar contains XIPs for the Apache, Herman, Kaiser, Titan, Victor and Vogue. All are spinlock patched except for the Apache.

Warning! If these files are used in any other kitchen other than PPCKitchen, please be sure that you fix the file attributes BEFORE or DURING cooking, otherwise problems will ensue (see FIX here). I have attached the removed packages as well if you do use these in another kitchen.

Thanks to Da_G for all the goods!:headbang:

JooJoo, can you send me a link to your VK for the TP? I made one and am having issues with the device not booting, it does not make any sence cause I can make them for any other device and I don't have any issues? I am able to boot all build releases for QVGA devices but none for the TP... I know I am missing something stupid and If I can take a peek at your working kitchen I will be able to figuire it out, or maybe you have some Ideas of what may be missing? Thanks in advance.

Did you verify it wasn't an OEM causing the issue by cooking up a clean rom with no kitchen selections?

23047 works like a charm for me on my Vogue. It must be your PPCKitchen Build configuration. Make sure you check out joojoobee666 sig on how to upgrade the PPCKitchen.
Good Luck!

P.S. This is the best build yet!:headbang:

is there a sure fire way to register a dll when building in visual kitchen? i am trying to include safeinboxextender and have this in the app.reg,

and this in the app.dat to move the file

Code:

Directory("\Program Files\SafeInboxExtender"):-File("SafeInboxMenuExtensibility.dll","\Windows\SafeInboxMenuExtensibility.dll")
i know i dont need to move the file but it didnt work in the windows directory so i tried this.

the menu options "delete all" and "mark all as read" show up but when you click them they do not work right. now if i register the dll using dot fred task manager it works fine :(

I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but have you tried signing the .dll using MSsigner? I've never used dot fred task manager to register a dll, but it sounds like it might be 'signing' it. I've attached a zip I found at xda that has MSsigner in it. Just drag the dll on top of the .exe.
