Rick,
Really like this theme, but in the new version the hi and lo are a little harder to see due to the opaque background.

I agree - and I'm going to play around with it this evening.

In order to fit the larger icons, I needed to shrink the font size for the temp and precip %. The red and blue text just doesn't have enough contrast. I was thinking about changing the little background boxes to a light shade of red and blue (to indicate high/low) and using black text.

I just remembered your request for "update time". Would it be satisfactory to have it on the first pop-up window?

Would prefer on screen, but if you can't that's okay.
This is just such a nice theme.

I've played around with the layout and came up with this (for better visibility of the temps and precipitation):

Let me know what you think and I'll post it tomorrow...

Your screenshot makes it really look a lot clearer.
Also, on the update time, You don't really have to do it like Ken's.
I was thinking, just a small text of the time, without the words update time included at all, above the word feels. It can be one text size smaller than feels. Then everyone would know Large time is real time, and the small one would indicate update.
Thanks.

I've uploaded a new version of the theme to fix the readability issue (icons are unchanged). It now looks like this:

And, just for you Steve, you can turn on the update time to get this:

To enable the update time, open the layout file Son-of-Commuter-240.wpl and un-comment the ;UPDATE-TIME command by removing the two dashes in front of it.

from this:
Code:
--;TEXT
#UPDATE-TIME#
4,15,W-96,14,R
Tahoma,12,N GLOW-65-65-65 GLOWEXPAND-1,170-170-170
to this:
Code:
;TEXT
#UPDATE-TIME#
4,15,W-96,14,R
Tahoma,12,N GLOW-65-65-65 GLOWEXPAND-1,170-170-170
I haven't updated the screen shots on the first post yet - I'll do that later...

This looks like a cool app but I can't find the download for it. Also is it free or is a pay program?

First you need to know that this is a theme for WeatherPanel, WP is the actuall app.

You can find it here: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/marsware-wea...kins-t822.html

WP is a paid app, however, the developer has been missing for 2+ years, and since then, the trial has never expired.

To see the themes attached on the first post, you need to be logged in to download them.
