Awesome Util ! Thx to all from XDA and PPCgeeks that brought it to us! Tested and confirmed. It works like a charm. I would suggest to keep the phone about 3+ inches or so away from the Barcode ( depending on the barcode of course). I tried it both in Landscape and Portrait mode and it read the barcode very fast. Also if you want to add the the different website it very easy to do and you don't have to change it on the phone...When you have ur phone connected to ur PC navigate to the file location of Barcorama and drag and drop the settings.txt file to your desktop and open it with notebad and simply change the settings as listed by Daveotero or add the website of your liking. Hope this Helps. TK |

Re: Barcode Scanner in here (Like the G1) [APP]
Been using Barcorama for a while, in the XDA thread there is another site (fastpricechecker or something) you can use. It's just online stuff obviously, I don't think there's any way you're going to query local stores' databases.
I find that it doesn't pick up all barcodes, and if it's going to read it, it'll happen almost immediately. I have heard of a few people working on a realtime scanning reader, including baffles above. |

Re: Barcode Scanner in here (Like the G1) [APP]
Does anyone know how to get the program to show up in the list of programs once installed? I unzipped the .exe to my program files folder, but I can't get it to be recognized by the program list to add to the quick launch screen
