Barcode Scanner in here (Like the G1) [APP]
hunt4m3x posted this in another thread about a week ago and it's gone mostly unnoticed. I know a lot of people including myself have been waiting for an app like this so I figured I would repost.
[Edit 12-9-08] More detailed and updated info in this post (thanks flyhigh) Get this app and info here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=368798 [Edit: cab version now available] . After you run the program for the first time edit your settings.txt file to reflect these changes: Code:
RUN=\windows\OperaL.exe RUNARGS=http://google.com/products?addr=[your_zip_code_here]&q=!###!&scoring=p Enjoy! Last edited by daveotero; 12-09-2008 at 03:47 AM. |

Yes, worked for me. I saw somewhere that said you are best using 2x zoom, but I don't recall if I had to set it to that.

Re: Barcode Scanner in here (Like the G1) [APP]
what sort of position should the bar code be? I mean should it look like the lines are going up and down in landscape or normal?
edit: Ok I got it working. The image I took that worked was not in landscape mode (the lines were going up and down in the normal position.) I got up real close and filled the image and the auto focus made it nice and sharp. The program found the barcode immediately and asked if I wanted to open my external program. Before, I had flash on but that distorts the image when you get up close. I also found you dont need to open the settings.txt, aparently he lets you edit these lines within the program.
