Barcode Scanner in here (Like the G1) [APP]

i have the us version of the touch diamond. the camera will not focus close enough to read the barcode. it is the same with my wife's phone. any thoughts.

ive found fastpricecheck to be the most comprehensive and pretty much puts together all of the other search site results (amazon, ebay, online stores, reviews etc.). The other ones are lacking some of the other online stores etc.

but we still need local stores that the g1 does because i think that is the most useful part of such an app.

That's not all. Barcorama was made just for reading barcodes and dumping them out. What I want to use it with is Invelos DVD Profiler so I can catalogue my DVD's with it, etc. The shopper assistant stuff is neat but not nearly as useful to me.

I'm Hypest, developer of Barcorama. I want to thank you all on the warm support on the project! just recently updated it, to include preliminary support for the companion website I had in mind from the beginning of the development.

Use the site to log your personal purchases. The key point is that this info is used by the costpad engine to automatically provide other users with updated info on products and shopping locations. Also, you can view basic statistics for your purchases. More things will come, but building a database of products and shops/locations is useful and will take time (only greek products and shops are currently included...). So, perhaps you want to give it a try

Personal data are not shared. Personal info/profile protection is very important and I have some ideas to implement on that matter. The site is under development ofcourse, but at least me and my girlfriend use it daily to keep track of our spendings.

After registering you can use Barcorama >v0.9 to submit purchases...

I would really like to hear any comments from you guys (and gals?).

I agree that it's a nice feature but I want to see prices closer to home. Thanks for the tip on the fastpricecheck. I changed mine and will give it a chance.

Is there a way to change the setting to local stores? I noticed when I use google and all the others, I never see stores like Walmart, or Target or other local stores.
