On the high resolution screen on my Treo 800w this is the best video player I have seen. I have been using the alpha version to watch Sunday night football what a great picture.

all you need to to do is open up www.skyfire.com in your mobile browser and sign up. it will recognize your phone (even on wifi.) enter your cell number. check your text messages. you will be sent a download link. go back to your ppc and manually enter the url that was sent to you via the text message.

you will also be sent a confirmation registration message via email.


it worked for me and i don't have a data plan on my ppc either. just wifi.

i got the invalid email and password again today, i was able to use it earlier and no changes, then now i keep on getting the invalid pw and email again, anyone else with this prob

there is no "how to" for this, as this program is pretty much you just using vnc to a browser on a server, if the app doesnt do it, then it currently doesnt work... so currently skyfire doesnt support this...

Zoom in on it. Double click the video... if it doesn't zoom in to "full screen," use the zoom/focus tool on the top toolbar.

Is there a cab anywhere for the older version. I don't like this version. It's not slow as ppl say it is but I hate to zooming on this version.

I know some people managed to get through with it, by what looks like a bug in the registration system that didn't reconize the location properly and sent it out anyways. But I just tried it again myself, and it says there still isn't support in my area and I would recieve an email when it doe's become available.

First go to youtube and chose the video you want select it on the page:

double clock to zoom in:

Use the -+ Icon on the top right to zoom in closer:

This is a known issue just exit and try again that has worked for me every time. The Skyfire team is working on the issue.

Had the same issue then switched from the sliding keyboard to the pop up keyboard on screen and that fixed my issue.

Geez, this just happened to me also & I haven't changed anything at all.

I used skyfire last night & it worked fine, I haven't changed anything & today it won't authenticate. I reset my password & it still doesn't work.

I wouldn't really care except it keeps resetting itself as the default browser. Every time I open it, I uncheck the "default browser box" & it keeps resetting itself as the default.

I haven't upgraded, but .61 had the half screen issue when you press enter while typing in text.

The beta is now open to all but you still need to sign up at the Skyfire website to get a password

OMG, I just installed the new version & it still doesn't work.

I went to the skyfire site & reset my passwork again & fired up the newest version. It said it was authenticating for about 10 mimutes & nothing happened. At that point, I did a soft reset & tried again. This time I got that same "invalid email & password" error people have been fighting with ever since the new version came out.

What the heck do I do now??

I think the servers are just busy don't bother putting in your email and password just exit and restart till it opens. Has taken me up to 4 tries to get in a couple of times.

6883 is still giving me the login problem

running ebags trimmed WM6 rom on my 700wx... the program downloads fine and installs properly and authenticates... however when it says preparing to load... it doesn't go past that. it doesn't freeze (i can still go to "menu - exit" but it will not "load"). This is driving me insane. It is a legit copy that i got through their beta program (even though it's open to the public now).

Go to skyfire support and read the forums there they have about 3 threads going with people having the same problem, including myself. I havent found a solution so if anyone has the 0.6 version could you please post the cab or link.

anybody else having problems with version 0.8? i downloaded it last week everything was fine after initial login errors..but now it just wont load up. it just gets stuck on preparing to load screen..anyone else have this problem? any suggestions besides soft reset?

Behaves very strange for me. Sometimes it won't load, sometimes gives login error, rarely actually starts up. They seem to have added another level of zoom from the previous beta. Also, a few other changes.

Everyone having problems with signing on to Skyfire - reinstalling the older beta - v.60 will allow you access to the service until the server issue is resolved. Here's the old install file for those who didn't back it up.

I'm close to that point myself, not only can't I get into it the damn thing keeps rechecking the box to make it the default browser.

When that happens, I can't open ANY links in my emails. If it would just sit there & not work I could live with it, but now it's interfering with my everyday use of the system.

Just a reminder that Skyfire is still in beta...do not expect this application to work without some errors.

For the most part this has been a pretty stable application.
