don't get me wrong, I appreciate your updates and presence here, but why would I buy an app lacking the most basic and standard options. -m

Re: Kinoma media player
M,
FWIW, there's no need to install the software to find out what's changed. The detailed release notes I linked to lists all major changes (and some form of built-in file association management would be considered major). I understand. I wanted to post anyway, since for a lot of people the scanning enhancements were the last thing preventing them from moving to Kinoma Play as their primary player. Thanks, -- Charles Wiltgen

I use s2p & love how it integrates with s2u2 & it irritates me when Kinoma steals that association as if it is a better app for music (it definitely isn't) ~John |

Re: Kinoma media player
Integrates with S2U2, I can swtich tracks, adjust the volume or stop playback completely without ever unlocking my phone. I can "flow" through the album covers to change albums. it starts automatically when I turn on my S9. It plays while my phone is asleep. Its the all around perfect player for me, and I have no intent of changing that.

Cover Flow is pretty, at the cost of useful information density. We're intentionally using the same familiar view we use for everything from podcasts, to YouTube channels, to Flickr photo sets, to Shoutcast genres. It also has the benefit of letting people hit a key or two for instant iTunes-like filtering. Kinoma Play and FreePlay will also play while your phone is in that same power state. It took us a release or two to resolve all power management issues, so if you didn't have good luck with the first release you'll probably find that the current release works as you'd expect. -- Charles Wiltgen |
