You're right, those are two more problems.

I have to switch my Titan to landscape mode BEFORE starting up Kinoma to watch a movie as there is no way to do it after the program starts (& even doing that doesn't make it full screen) . Once it's running you can't minimize it (it takes over the system COMPLETELY).

Of course I always forget to do that & then I have to completely exit the program & start over. Like you said, even that's not easy to do as there is no way to easily get back to the start screen (there is no easy way to completely shut down the app for that matter).

I feel this program is 100% totally aimed at noob users. This is fine & dandy except it needs an "advanced" option screen where more computer literate users can configure it to their liking & not be forced to completely accept the default settings.

It is really ironic that it forces you to use it as the default video player (unless you know how to edit file asociations) but then gives "unsupported video format" errors on certain files that play just fine in WMP.........

Re: Kinoma media player

Resco file browser will restore all those hijacked file associations (I installed it just for that reason, although it is a great program anyway)

In Resco, you can get a "file/open with" option just like in any newer version of Windows. It has that same checkbox for "always use this app to open this type of file" also.

Kinoma screwed me again! Today I called to cancel Real Broadband Essentials. Well I was on hold for 20mins. With what sounded like 24kbps hold music blasting in my ear, that kept skipping and sort of sound like it was rebuffering...

It sounds like you got Kinoma Play for free via TrialPay. I can't speak for Real's hold times, but I'd encourage you to send a quick note to TrialPay if you found it excessive.

Re: Kinoma media player

I'm still loving it. I called to cancel my Real Super Pass and yes it took 25 Min to get through, but he said it's canceled. I really like this player for something different!

Its not that its a bad player, I just didn't like the scanning and the hijack of the file associations (after i noticed it)

Re: Kinoma media player

I definitely dig this player. Coreplayer won't work on WM6 with a xv6900 for some reason...but this one does.
