Just bought a Jawbone
I have had my 6700 for over a year. I have a program called BTToggle installed to keep the gateway open. I also have Microsoft VC. Will your program (if installed) open the VC gateway so I can say "call home" or does it only work for music. Sorry if someone else has answered this question. I read just about every post on the thread and still never got a clear understanding of how you program works with MSVC's dialing option. To this point I have always had to click the button on my phone then open the gateway with my old Motorola H500 BT headset. I was OK with that, but the same function does not seem to be working with my Jawbone.
HELP!! |

Can somebody tell me what the best setting are for the 6700 for this software to work the best. a couple of times I just got the Caller ID nothing else but ID the caller no tones or rings which is ideal. I am playing around with Spb's new phone suite. I'm still out on that. I'm using a Jabra BT 500 & MS VC 1.6. The messages such as next appointment and emai messinging are very good CallerID is at times a little choppy. I know what do you want for free. This is still the best app I have run across so far.

RDR1969: With MSVC 1.5, you have to fix a reg. entry to be able to press the BT headset button to activate MSVC. With MSVC 1.6, you just have to install then do a soft reset.
After that, you can then press your BT headset button and it will beep to indicate it is ready for a command. You can then say "Call Tom on Mobile", and depending on your settings it may repeat what you said or just call. If it repeats what you said, listen to see if it is correct, then say "Yes" or "No". You probably already know this stuff though. You may need to go into your setting for MSVC and make sure to enable notification and such. My program will redirect your incoming Caller ID to the BT headset instead of the PPC speaker. All other functions of MSVC will work the same as they always have. My program will also let you hit the BT headset and say "Play Anything (..artist, album, ect.. same as before)" then you would press the BT headset button after the music starts and say " Open Audio"... this will then redirect the audio from the PPC speaker to the BT headset. Hope this clears up some things for you, if not just let me know how else I can help. Enjoy

Lindsey: Yes, but you will need to upgrade your phone ROM and have my program running.
I am using Kirvin's 3.5 Sprint - Stripped version.. I think i mentioned it in a earlier post the exact name. (First post?) It was very easy to update the ROM if you have never done it before. Just follow the directions to the letter. After installing the new rom, you will have clean Caller ID thru BT headset. No rings, just pure caller ID in your ear, and it is VERY nice to finally have this! |

Lindsey: Sorry, I'm not certain about other phone models. I think that it would be ok. Just read some of the fourms about the AKU's. They have many different flavors, so you just want to make sure you get the correct one.
I'm sure there is a version for your phone though. I have had no functionality loss on my phone because of the new AKU 3.5.. In fact it's preformed much better and I get no Rings in my BT headset, just the announcement because the of BT drivers. I do know that some versions of 3.5 had a corrupt file(s) but there have been post on how to fix that, and also just new version that don't have the problem. I know that Kirvin's works perfect with my phone.. so check that route. |
