Is the Samsung WEP200 the only one of only a few that are compatible with the Treo 700wx? I've heard many complaints re: BT + Treo. Ideally I'd like a stereo headset so I can listen to music as well.
Let's say I do get such a headset, how will I assign VC initiation to it? Will a new button appear under Settings -> Buttons that I can assign to? Currently there are phone specific buttons only (Start, OK, Opt+Start, Opt+OK, Side, and Opt+Send). ps: I have MS VC 1.5 which came installed on the phone - should I upgrade to 1.6? What new features are there? |

I have a Sprint PPC-6700 with AKU 3.3 and MSVC 1.6 and when I installed this (everything to main memory) it installed. I soft reset and when the phone boots up i get a beep in my headset and then a popup that says:
IDTransfer.exe The file 'IDTransfer' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file. It said in the first thread that .net 2 was no longer needed. Is there something else I need installed?? Thanks!! -D |

After testing with the 8525 I've determined that VC is NOT "opening" the Bluetooth "circuit." With .9f and IDTransfer installed VC announces the call to the speaker, then, when I touch the answer button on the headset, I hear 3-4 seconds of announcement in the headset before the call is answered (what's up with that, BTW? I have to remember to wait until the announcement stops before I say "Hello!") More experimentation shows that audio from various sources - Windows Media, Beta Player, whatever - goes to the speaker until I MANUALLY "open" the Bluetooth audio "circuit" by pressing the button on the headset, whereupon the audio goes to the headset until the "circuit" times out, when it returns to the speaker.
Does anyone have any ideas how to make VC "open" the Bluetooth audio "circuit?"

2) When you press the button on your headset, the audio gateway is routed to the headset. Hence you can hear all system sounds including WMP on the headset. As soon as it times out, the audio goes back to the phone. 3) ID Transfer comes with a small file called Audio.exe which is placed in the start menu. This file, when activated routes all the phone's audio (including system sounds) to the headset. It stays routed to the headset till the button on the headset is pressed again. 4) To activate this Audio.exe using VC, just press the button on your headset and say "OPEN AUDIO" or START AUDIO". This will excecute the Audio.exe file and route all the audio to the headset till you press the button on the headset again.[/b] |
