Lee, as of now I do not think that is possible. I have to reroute the ppc speaker to the bt headset to set the announcement, i'm not sure if there is a copy to headset... i will investigate.

No luck getting this to work with my Cingular 8525 (Hermes). It is installed in main memory and I have tried setting VC to announce over speaker and over BT with no luck. Any ideas?

I'm having the same result with my 8525. It announces to the speaker, then, when I answer the call using the headset, I get part of the announcement repeated through the headset before the call is answered and the conversation can begin.

I think the audio gateway on the 8525 is different than other PPCs, I have seen other problems with programs that are supposed to do similar things. Interestingly however the program I attached does work correctly and allows voice command commands over bluetooth. Maybe someone can look at it and apply it here.

I'm using the "c" version of that cab now. I think that the problem is that something has to "turn on" the Bluetooth connection for the announcement to get to the headset. A little while ago I got a call a few seconds after I'd used VC to access my next appointment and both the ring and the caller ID came through the headset just like they're supposed to.

This might be a stupid question but maybe someone might help me out here - how does one setup the headset button to initiate voice command? When assigning buttons, I only see buttons that are on the phone itself. Can this be done for both wired and BT headsets?

A little more info please. What phone, rom, headset, etc.? For instance, I have an apache (ppc6700) running my own 3.3 rom with a plantronics 510 headset. There is no setup beyond installation. I just have to press the MFB for about 1.5-2 seconds until the VC prompt occurs.

Sorry - Treo 700wx with included wired headset's button, for starters. I'd love to obtain a different wired or BT headset if I can get the headset button to work for initiating voice commands.
