v1.07 for pocket pc is out. It fixes a couple of issues with status of non googletalk accounts.
Also, those of you having issues logging in to AOL (i think there are more than one), can someone contact me at support@octro.com (using googletalk - just add a buddy and type support@octro.com there). If you can share your account with me for a few minutes, I can check what the problem on the server is. Thanks. |

Update on the AIM issue:
Some AIM accounts are having problem with logging in. The server is erroneously giving "Authentication Error!". We are working on that issue. As a workaround, you can try to enter your AIM username/password into the ICQ account section, and use the ICQ account instead of the AIM account. This will log you on to AIM, and work fine. The reason is that ICQ (which is owned by AIM) uses the same backend as AIM, and for some reason the ICQ transport is working fine. |

Mrbonner: I have one account which has started doing this today, but the weird thing is that it does the same thing on the official AIM client as well. It gives me "A server error occurred" when I try to login to AIM through AIM client on windows. AIM might be having a bad day, hopefully will be fixed soon.
Update: If you go to www.aim.com, and select "Change Password" from their menu (http://www.aim.com/password/change_password.adp), the page is not working (atleast for me), indicating a maintenance going on at AOL. Hopefully our accounts will start working soon. Update 2: AIM servers seem to be working again, and OctroTalk can login without issues (so can AIM etc.). |
