Re: Google Voice app for WM

magicall doesn't do sms filtering. What is your problem in magicall? Did you place your pin and number in the rules. Then when magicall call is running, you simply dial a number as usual and it calls google.

Re: Google Voice app for WM

Yes. I have entered my phone number and pin into the rules.

When I dial a phone number from the keypad I get through to Google Voice and it begins to play my message. I hear, "this is a free call" and then:

+ a long silence
+ or, it dials a number, but I hear it ringing (from the phone I am calling from) but it isn't calling to the phone I am dialing in the same room and, it then sounds a slow busy signal.

I have tried prefacing the 10-digit number with a 1 & have gotten the same results.

I have no idea where it might be calling to.

Suggestions?

THanks.

Re: Google Voice app for WM

I have read that people have used Magiccall to send SMS messages through Google Voice so that the call shows as coming from the Google Voice number. Is this what you mean by call filtering?

Thanks.

Re: Google Voice app for WM

I started out using iDialer, iContact and GreenButton from http://supware.net and was very pleased. I don't use the ringback feature so calls go straight thru GV. My only issue was sending SMS with my GV# as my 'callback' number. Well, I found Easy SMS v2.0 (http://www.mattslifebytes.com/?cat=7) and now I am in heaven!

NOTE: All applications were found over at XDA and I give props to their respective developers.

Re: Google Voice app for WM

All of these supposed "google voice apps" are garbage compared to GVV (Google Visual Voicemail) over on xda developers.

Let's you check voicemail/SMS, read transcripts, mark as read or delete, make calls/SMS.

Re: Google Voice app for WM

I'm confused. Forgive me for being dumb. I just went to voice.google.com and setup google visual voicemail through my phone number and then it worked on my vogue. It was that easy.

Why can't this be done on the tp2?

or are you talking about just the number not vm

Google visual voicemail can be configured and set up thru the TP2. If you're trying to sign up for a Google Voice number though, you can only do it thru the pc and not via a mobile. Just tried it, the popup window to set up a number for the first time doesn't show up on my TP2.

If anyone is looking to just dial numbers with their GV numbers, I am using a program called GVO by AssassinsLament that was pretty simple, no-frills, and straightforward. More info about it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=546336

Uh yea, you can do that on any phone. The point was to find an app for WinMo. Getting terrible transcripts sent to your phone isn't "visual voicemail." Neither is checking the site through your phone's browser.
