Re: Common NAM Performance Tweaks.

Im on cricket and my acc was on 0 when ever i dialed a number it would take about 2 to 5 seconds to make the call.

I set it to 10 reset went into pst still set on 10 and when i make a call as soon as I press send it starts ringing. On 0 I would get the all networks busy crap at least once in a day. After setting mine to 10 I have never got it. I am using a diamond and a touch pro cloned with the same esn so I can use which ever one I want not at the same time of course.

Re: Common NAM Performance Tweaks.

Ok to better help some of you understand this: The ACCOLC is based on priority. First off, Sprint does not utilize this. Mainly it is for GSM phones. This was started in London around '05 i think after the terrorist bombings. If you are very inclined to change the number feel free to but if you are on the sprint network this will not change anything. Now that this has been said, the next thing is priority. The HIGHER the number the higher the priority, meaning 0 is the lowest. Anything higher than 9 is reserved and should not be used. 9 is the highest priority to non essential phones, meaning non emergency or gov't. It is against the law however to go above 9 on a personal phone. Hope this helps.

Re: Common NAM Performance Tweaks.

I have a HTC Touch, and I need to change the ACCOLC to 13, but it will only allow me to enter 0 - 9. Is there any way to change to 13?

As said before, please use the search tool. It is illegal to change ACCOLC to anything other then 0-9 for private handsets. Im not sure how you'd go about getting permission to change it to something higher, but my guess is that if it were truly needed and you worked for a specific agency they would have given you a handset previously programmed with the correct priority ACCOLC to begin with.

Interesting... I've always heard that 0 was reserved for emergency services and 1 was reserved for state/ gov't.
Where did you find this? Just curious.

EDIT: nevermind... you should just re-read post 1. Sorry. You got it backwards.
