It is always best to install apps that are on the today screen on the device it self. :)

fatlard 11-13-2007 12:21 PM

Anyone have luck fitting this on the touch? I am using PhatPhinger III QVGA theme at 240x320 116 with the phatphinger icons.

Simms65 11-14-2007 02:57 PM

I registered on this board because of this skin. Very good work! :)

Is there any possibility of a date/time showing without the extended forecast?

Thanks!

David

Trying to modify

Awesome work on the theme!

I'm trying to modify this theme to better suit what I want/like/need and almost have it set up the way that I'm aiming for. I'm using the Phat(240x320)+66 profile and changed it to use the huge icons (I think the large icons look really small and puny). I'd like to be able to touch the icon anywhere and bring up the detailed forecast, but right now I have to touch in the upper left corner of the icon to do this. Is there a way to modify the size of the area that is sensitive to touch that will bring up the detailed forecast?

Which phone do you have? The scroll bars might be created because the Theme File might be too larger for the available height on the Today screen. Try using one that is smaller (less pixels).

I am using the HTC Touch with the HTC Home. I am trying to fit both in there.

Ok. Do you have any other plugins enabled on the Today screen?

What you will want is one of the first layouts...try Phat(240x240)+116 (III only).

fatlard 11-15-2007 03:05 PM

Nope.. just the HTC Home.

Ok...then try the 116 pixels theme and if that is too big, use the next smallest one until the scroll bars disappear.

codyppc 11-16-2007 05:26 PM

Wow, nice work here.

Just converted to HTC Touch and doing setup; great to find that my old pall WeatherPannel can work here too.

Just one question, if I may... I was using animated icons on my 6700; are there any animcated icons available in the PhatPhinger set?

Thank you.

Thanks! Read the 2nd post on this thread. There's a link to a bunch of icon sets, including Stardock animated...

How cool. Just had the 1st severe weather "!" appear.

I clicked on it (the "!")and it gave me a snow advisory. By way of the scroll wheel I can roll thru all my cities to see if they have anything listed.

My question.....How do I make the advisory detail box go away?

"OK" should be in the upper right corner, or OK button on your device...

MrShoe 11-21-2007 03:35 PM

Dude,
I feel like such an idiot...
That was too obvious, simple and just as I should have expected

Thanks.

Catman51 11-22-2007 12:09 PM

The only icons that show that big are the original ones for Phatfinger. All the other icon sets show up smaller.

You need the icon zip or the cabbed icon zip. They are the first two attachments in the original post.

Correct. This layout requires the PhatPhinger I theme and the PhatPhinger Icon set.

Catman51 11-22-2007 07:06 PM

I wish the others would show up that big, but sticking with the original icons cause I like the big ones!

Thats the Settings button, it shows only when you have set a big phat layout like 200 or 220.

I'm sure this may be an already answered question-- but I've searched and had no luck-- Is there a way this cannot be a plugin-- more an application/program that I can click a shortcut to and open? I really like the way my homescreen looks and don't have room to have this up all the time and still show what I want--I love the weather display that showed up in the HTC Home Plug-- but I now have the HTC Plus thing with the analog clock-- Is there anway that I can have a shortcut mapped to open that weather screen? Or any "PRETTY" weather application?
THanks--

Catman51 11-25-2007 07:03 PM

Nope, it's not an exe program, only a today screen plugin. Try PocketBreeze from SBSH, you can add it as a tab.

dantek 11-26-2007 09:39 AM

Great piece of art work you've got there Phatphinger.

I've been trying to get the photos from a webcam to working in the radars.txt file.

However to get a jpg from a html, that's the tricky part. the jpg file name listed on the url is not a static or fixed name which i can enter in the radars.txt for them to download. It appends the date and time information in the jpg filename.

I'm trying to get the jpg file from this website http://202.172.177.75/trafficsmart/images/4702.html but the file name keeps changing.

Any idea on how i can get this to work?

xxza 11-26-2007 05:37 PM

Do you mean PocketWeather from SBSH?

Nope. PocketBreeze can "hide" the today plugin within its tabs. Yes, PocketWeather is their weather application, but I believe the original poster was looking for a way to hide WeatherPanel and save today screen real estate.

This looks great, but I am a newbie here with my HTC Touch and a non-techie type person. How would I install this on my Touch phone and it should be spelled out in simple steps, I'm dumb? I've looked through this thread and there seems to be several phones using this weather download and I want to be sure I am using the correct file because if I mess my phone up, I have no one to help un-do my mess. Thanks. Great work ya'll.

Jim
