Re: Hard-SPL - Flashing ROMs - Titan Unlocker - Click Here!

i have noticed that after running Hard-spl-mfg.exe , the power button on my xv6800 does not bring the device out of stand-by. it puts it into stand-by and turns the unit on after replacing the battery. it just wont bring it out of stand-by mode.. any input would be greatly appreciated

The Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL is used to unlock the phone in order to flash a new ROM. It is not compatible with ROMs of the 2.xx OEM level or custom ROMs based on OEM 2.xx ROMs. Did you install the 2.40 hard-SPL and leave a 2.xx ROM on your phone?

HTC Official instructions:
http://www.htc.com/uploadedFiles/Com...ns_R1%20_2.pdf

HTC upgrade .exe file:
ftp://Mogulrom:sprinttitan@files164....CS_AM_Ship.exe

quantumforce1's easy guide:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17667
This is a very good step-by-step guide. If you use this guide, skip step 3 under Upgrade to 3.35.651.2 and steps 5 through 7 under Install a Custom ROM.

Re: Hard-SPL - Flashing ROMs - Titan Unlocker - Click Here!

I am to a point where I am stuck in bootloader. I can run exitBL to get out of it, but then I get stuck on a Verizon logo and have no choice but to re-enter bootloader!! So, my question is, how do I install this olipro 2.4 if I can't establish an activeSync connection? Thanks

Both the radio and ROM are in that .exe. Read the following about flashing the upgrade to a Verizon XV6800. Verizon - How to upgrade an xv6800 with the new Sprint ROM:

Re: Hard-SPL - Flashing ROMs - Titan Unlocker - Click Here!

This may be a silly question, but would it be better to run the Unlocker, or just edit the registry as described in #1 of the first post here:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=5108

It seems like a lot of people are having nuisance issues with the Unlocker and I'm really trying to avoid as much hassle as possible.

That registry edit performs an entirely different type of "unlocking". It disables some security checking.

If it were that easy...we would have suggested that instead. If you want to flash non-OEM ROMs, you must install the appropriate unlocked bootloader.

Re: Hard-SPL - Flashing ROMs - Titan Unlocker - Click Here!

bakntyme -
Thanks for the quick reply. I was just curious. I've seen a lot of other things in the forums that are basically just regedits but people compile them and make .cab's. They say it' easier to run a .cab and most average users don't want to (or shouldn't) be in the registry anyway. Thanks again for the info.
