When it gives you the option to install the program to either your Storage Card or Main Memory, make sure you select the Main Memory.

Honestly I repeated the same exact step over and over again and finally it worked. I am just too thrilled!

BTW, my contacts and calendar items are now back on my phone. :headbang:

Thanks to matttsm and everyone else for being patient with me. I have no problem clicking the THANKS button but wanted to thank you all anyway.

Now for tonight- the new ROM.... (wish me luck)

Now remember when you flash to the new rom you will need to install that carrier cab again. So keep that cab handy.

Comm Manager button stops working once you access "Buttons" under Personal settings. (23003 & 23003b behaved the same).

Thanks I will get a cab together to fix this for now.

23004 Sprint bare bones This will need that cab as well.

I updated the first post with these as well.

The easiest way for now until I have more time.
Open file explorer and navigate to windows directory. Press down on wrlsmgr and select copy. Then navigate to the windows\startmenu, press down in the open and select paste shortcut. Exit file explorer.
Go back into the buttons settings and under comm manager button select shortcut to wrlsmgr and all is good for now.

You are welcome and I am going to get some rest. The only problem for now is that when you hit the battery icon it will do nothing. I will get this for you but later.

I am trying to flash my phone for the first time and I am extremely confused! I unlocked my Sprint Mogul, then downloaded the 23004 and renamed it and put it into the ruu folder I aslo downloaded. However, every time I run ruu, it says it can't read the file or something and the only button is exit. Please help! Thank you in advance.

That worked!!! (and it's way quicker than re-flashing). Also the shortcut needs to pasted to windows\startmenu\programs.

First format the card to FAT32 on your computer. Download the rom file and open with a RAR. Look for the .nbh file and extract that to the SD Card.
Once it's on the SD card rename the file to TITAIMG.nbh. Then just put the SD card back in your phone and enter bootloader (camera button, power button, reset button) Then just follow the prompts on screen.

OK, did all that and all it does is come up with the bootloader screen and do nothing, forcing me to reset it. I know I followed all the instructions, including the formatting and renaming. What am I doing wrong though?

Well, I ran the 2.4 unlocker via my computer and I thought it unlocked it. However, I just tried to run the other no2chem one and that one is not working either. I can run the exe file, it says everythings a go and I press continue and again it just goes to the bootloader screen, and no further. It also says it should say SPL-2.47No2Chem Titan SPL EVT, but mine only says SPL-2.07No2Chem Titan SPL EVT. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

OK, I finally got it to work, thanks to all the wonderful people here at ppcgeeks. Anyway, I'm a little confused right now about what exactly is what. For instance, I know I used to have the battery hack with the bar at the top of the screen, and that seems to be in this rom, but what is the second bar right below the menu? Also, my data has been trying to prepare my vision services for about 15 minutes now. Is there something else I need to do? I'm on Sprint btw. Finally, does anyone know how this rom handles bluetooth and gps, in terms of speed and stability? Those are probably the two most important aspects to me currently. Thanks in advance and sorry for the multitude of questions. :)

That second bar shows your available RAM. It will never be completely across the screen, due to the fact that Windows utilizes a bunch of RAM on its own.

Re: Windows 6.5 23004 and Previous builds

I have had 2 strange issues with 23001 which I have been using for a couple weeks now.

1. Windows media player says it doesn't have any skins. It goes to the library but it never goes to the play, pause, etc. screen.

2. I have a HTC headphone adapter http://www.amazon.com/OEM-Converter-...7356455&sr=1-1 but I don't get any sound from the headphones. I can double check on another phone when I get to work but I just got the adapter on Friday.

Please let me know if there is something I need to do to get both of these things to work. Thanks for all the work you have put into this room. 23001 has been the best 6.5 rom I have used yet.

Is it normal not to very much ram at all tho? Mine has been in the red and slight orange since i flashed it...

Vision services are the data and internet from sprint, which are required to be prepared to confirm accounts and stuff before you can use data. Mine finally did go through though so no worries.

On another note, does this rom have threaded sms? Can items be added/subtracted from the today screen? I would love to have weather on there somehow, but would not like to have tasks since I never use them... Thanks!

It helps if you put your phone in High Memory mode (Start -> Settings -> System -> Kernel). This will temporarily disable your camera and free up 6ish meg of RAM. You should be able to keep your RAM above 22ish meg free with everything closed. Also, run Oxios hibernate occasionally to free up some RAM that gets lost.

Yes it has threaded SMS. You should see it the first time you go into your SMS. :-)
And yes items can be added/removed and you can put weather on there.

OK, I put it into high memory mode but PIE still eats up an enormous amount of memory. Oh well.

I saw that post earlier, but the weather link was down and I still can't figure out how to remove stuff from the today screen. I assume there are cabs to install new items though?

Start/Settings/Today/Items.
Highlight an item to adjust options (when available)
Check or Un-check items. (Windows Default is the Titanium, it will block all others).

The IE6 is a huge drain. You can revert it to the old PIE using the attached cab (ignore the error message when you load it). Or, as a better option, use a different browser. I use Opera Mini (also attached).

To remove something from the home screen (which is now called either Titanium or CHome in Windows 6.5 to reflect the new layout), open CHome Editor. The column on the left shows your active panels. In the dropdown menu on the right, you can select a choice in the available panels to either enable or disable the selected panel.

Hope that helps.

Haha, nothing was attached. Anyway, thanks. 2 more quick questions then. I normally use skyfire so not a problem but is it possible to install the old pie and keep this new one too? Despite being a memory hog, I rather like its look.

Also, my message button on the upper left is not working, and the voice command button comes up with an error. Is this rom specific or something I did? Way to fix it? Thanks.

Those cabs are attached now. Thanks for the catch!

And for the comm manager button:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=247

And for voice manager, I don't believe it is pre-installed in this ROM.

And please try to search, too. Much of what I am telling you (and linking for you) is already discussed in here.

message button is fine with build.

I have the same problem with a third party 3.5mm adapter. It has never worked correctly since I started using custom roms. There is one way I've been able to get it to work that will hopefully work for you too.

1. Start audio before plugging in the adapter.
2. Plug in the adapter with the head phones not plugged into it.
3. Plug in the headphones.

This works every time with the adapter I use. I've tried variations on those steps but it never works. This would not be so bad but as soon as the audio completely stops for more than a few seconds you have to repeat those steps to get it working again (so streaming an album through Orb is not worth it).

Hope that helps.

So with stock roms this has always worked? I have never used headphones so have never tested this. So if this has never worked on custom roms then maybe there is a driver that needs to be pulled from stock rom. I would like to try and get this working properly cause I know there are users that listen to music, ect. Any search inquiry you have would help.

I tried the steps of playing the music first then plugging in in the adapter and then the headphones but it still didn't play for me. I was using WMP (HTC audio manager won't run for me). The WMP works fine playing through the speakers and playing through my A2DP headphones.

My experience with headphones is that they have always worked on previous 6.1 roms for me (dcd, n2chem, and kitchen builds) but this is the first time I have ever tried with a WM 6.5 rom. I have had quite a few different 6.5 roms but my adapter broke so this is the first time I have tested with this adapter and WM 6.5.

Re: Windows 6.5 23004 and Previous builds

Does anyone know where I can get the voice command cab or a rom that has it built in. I love all these new custom roms. But for bluetooth, voice command these roms sucks. I can't use any of my bluetooth devices with any kind of stability. I drive a lot and it's just kinda wonderful to be able to just say a name and get connected. As far as just using the bluetooth for calls.... most time I can't connect. If I do connect it shows up on my screen as connected but doesn't work with a call. That's with two motorola bluetooth devices. With the Jabra bluetooth I am having real hard time connecting. I can find the device, pair with it but as soon I push connect it goes stright to the disconnected devices. On it's settings it shows as a dialup modem. There is no choice for headset or anything like that.
Thank you guys for all these good work. I am greatful to have known you and use your products.

Yeah the adapter I have worked fine with the stock VZW 6.0 & 6.1. I can't say I've tried it with every rom I've flashed over the last year or so(from DCD, Tplane, BBS, you and others), but as far as I can recalled it has never worked properly with custom roms. My work around doesn't seem to work for rothgar, but he is using a different adapter as well.

Hmm, I was hoping that would work for you, but since it's a different adapter it doesn't surprise me. The one I have works (with that connection boogie) with every program I've tried. But without fail if everything is plugged in when I start the audio it doesn't work, ever.

Hey duffman just go into settings\system\batterypower and either change the turn off backlight setting or just uncheck the box; next go into settings\power\advanced and uncheck or change the time value.
