Yeah, get a TP2, or something else with a 640x480 screen :)

Sorry.

Matt,
I like what you have done with the latest version. Do you know what reg keys I need to silence the startup and shut down?
Thanks!

The sound on and off it the sound you get when radio comes on and goes off.

registry
HKCU/ControlPanel/PhoneExtendFunction/CDMA/FlightModeOnOff

change the value on EnableSound from 1 to 0 and then exit. wait a couple a seconds then soft reset. If you want to use a different on or off sound then you will see what it is playing in that registry.

For example.
under Sound_on it is refering to \widows\PhoneOn.wav
So if you want a different sound change that path to your desired sound or rename your desired sound to PhoneOn.wav and overwrite the one in the windows folder.. Easy huh!!

is there any reason this rom is slow as molasses on my mogul? I mean this is supposed to be a mogul upgrade right? Litterally freezes up for 1-3 min straight at a time

Might want to look at something on your end cuz mine has not froze the first time. Maybe even try a reflash. Now with these newer builds you need to make sure with task manager that you are shutting down apps.
If this rom is not for you then there are a few others out there.

So far, seems fine. And, looks like more free memory is available!

And for those who haven't upgraded yet... The fonts are finally fixed!! (For example, when installing a CAB, the screen that asks you where you would like to install it)

Still customizing to my liking, so I'll report back later.

Re: Mattsm 6.5 23047

Ok, works fine now, apparently it's just whenever i load up my text messages i've got saved from the past 1.5 year. The messenger program takes up 2mb of ram and the phone crawls, i'm really not sure what to do to correct this.

(email does it too but even worse.)

I upgraded because of the grinding speed, and now i realize it's not the os's fault but something to do with txt and email {i just don't know what}

Re: Windows 6.5 21812 and MORE too come.

the error i get seem sprint related
"Error Code 1012
Could not prepare vision services. Please try again later. If the problem persist, you may need to contact Sprint."
I have Alltel/Verizon and other than that, using the alltel provisions cab everything if fine. Thank for the Help.

is there anything in the registry maybe that i could change??

Re: Mattsm 6.5 23047

Couple of questions.
First what radio should i be using? I reflashed the stock rom from sprint a few days ago and it dropped me down to 3.42.02 I think the newest is 3.42.50. Maybe this has something to do with it but my battery life seemed pretty low also. I do use blue tooth so that usually has something to do with it. Also the HTC audio manager is pretty slick, i have used Pocket Player for the longest time but it seems that the HTC audio manager could be my replacement except that it wouldn't finger scroll i would have to use the scroll bar on the side, is that normal?
Anyways i love the rom keep up the great work!

*EDIT*
I know these seem kind of generic questions, I am however running "Mattsm 6.5 23045"

Help please as I really want to run this one. As a side note getting the same response for RUU_signedBBS23047.html

There is no reason to install sprint carrier cab, it is cooked in.
Try a hard reset and if it still does not work, then flash back to stock, establish a connection, then reflash.

I sooooooo wish I could reflash, but since my 23047 I have been unable to get my computer to connect to the device.

Re: Mattsm 6.5 23047

Hold down the two "soft" buttons. (Depends on carrier... on VZW they have a dot on them... above the WIN and OK buttons) and press the RESET button (with a pen). This will reflash the phone with the ROM it already has.

It might sound like a waste of time, but give it a try.

Have you tried flashing via sd card?
Also try putting phone in bootloader and while in bootloader hook up usb and run rom update utility and see if it reads device info. Not sure what is going on here but should not be difficult to fix.

One other side note, If i try to use tomtom and play audio at the same time after about 20 seconds or so the background app closes. In thoery i have enough ram to do this otherwise it wouldnt work for 20 seconds or so. Any way i can get this not to close background apps?

Re: Mattsm 6.5 23047

Not sure about this one JustusIV. What background apps is it shutting down?
Maybe explain alittle further.

Ok here is the scenario. Your stock 23047, lunch Audio Manager and start up some tunes, i listen for a while then start up tomtom, it gets all the way in, map loads etc. after about 10 seconds the music quits. Just seems like the background apps is closing because of low memory.

*EDIT*
Currently giving this a shot
"HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager" key
then created a binary-dword for "Autokill" with Decimal value "0"
then created a binary-dword for "MemoryThreshold" with Decimal value of "943718"
and appears to be working.

Matt,

You have once again saved the day for me! :headbang: I am loading 23045 Barebones because this is the last working ROM. If it works I will then try to flash to 47. Thanks again.

-Andrew

UPDATE!
23045 is working fine and dandy! I will be loading 23047 in a moment to see if that works now.

UPDATE II
23047 Is now working fine too. I feel like the hosting site messes up the programs sometimes. I have to redownload occasionally to get a working copy.
