Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen
"But 20931 and 20924 are still way too buggy on my Titan. So, I went back to 20755 again" I don't see a lot of people complaining or commenting about stability or bugs... is there a thread where useful comments could be placed to help make better builds?

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen
I run 20931 without issue. This is the thread to post your useful comments. If you have some suggestions by all means throw them out. I have a lot of people running the ROMs I made without complaint. I have an occasion S2U2 lockup that won't allow me to answer my phone. Works fine after a soft reset and only happens very occasionally, Other that that I have very few issues. I see no benefit what so ever with using 20755. Just my personal opinion.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen
I by no means want to sound like I dont appreciate everything that is done, but, i have noticed there has not been any update since november. I was just wondering if the development has slowed or if there has just been a lag in all this. Just curious were we stand. I know there are other options out there but I have enjoyed using this kitchen the most and want to stick with it. thanks for everything

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen
I went back to 20755 as I had alot of issues with 20931. Text messaging is horrible in 20931 (almost un-useable.) 20755 seems to run faster and on less memory with the same programs installed.
I am hoping to see an update soon, but for now, I am liking 20755 alot better than 20931

There is also another interesting thread (supports Titan but found in Vogue updates section) with newer builds (20954, 210xx, 21015, 21018 ) of WM6.1 here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...47&postcount=1 It is my understanding that there is little incentive for the gurus to spend more time on 6.1 with 6.5 coming. But these threads should give the addicts something to flash with using PPCKitchen and newer builds.

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen
I love 20931 but I've run into one issue. After the 3rd time I flashed this version I decided to slim down my ROM. I've noticed that even with my Wi-Fi switch in the off position the Wi-Fi enables every 5 seconds for 1/2 - 1 second. I tried flashing a barebones ROM and still ended up with the same thing. I thought it might have been some program that I was loading on after flashing so I flashed it one more time and right after flashing before loading anything I checked and it's still enabling and disabling on its own.
I tried searching for this and I may be incompetent but I couldn't find any reference to this anywhere else. *edit: It does this even when the phone is in airplane mode. Last edited by furyfrog; 03-18-2009 at 08:16 PM. |

Re: WM6.1 build 20931 kitchen
I guess you have tried playing with settings for the Wi-fi Switch.
It sounds similar to the issue where ActiveSync keeps trying to sync every time the clock changes. In the Notification Queue, I delete the replog.exe (with MemMaid, you could get a free trial) that is described as "Argument: AppRunAfterClockChange" or something like that, and there may be one for your issue, too. |
