Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
I can't get Android to boot w/ my 2GB non-HC SD card. First I unzipped all the files to the root of the card, tried booting, got the "cannot mount SD card" errors. I reformatted the card and tried again.. same thing. I then tried CrashCore's suggestion to move certain files to device room and certain to SD root.. still nothing.
Then i tried unzipping the initrd.gz to initrd, and changing default.txt to point to initrd.. still no luck. I've tried every step I've read in these Android threads, could it just be that it doesn't like my card, and I need to use another? I've never had any issues w/ this card before (flashing roms, radios etc.) until now :-/ |

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
While watching the College Bball Championship (Go Heels! Die hard fan here) I FINALLY got android to boot. I messed with it and then reset the device to load it again. I try to load it, and the power management issue pops up, every...single...time. NOW, i get to the part where its stuck and sends me to to command prompt: HTML Code:
/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off THEN: [ 5.630000] SMD: ch 3 CLOSED -> OPENED [ 5.630000] SMD: ch 2 CLOSED -> OPENED HTML Code:
set MTYPE 1463 set KERNEL zImage # I am testing keyboard on angstrom image #set initrd angstrom.bin # This one is Android from Vogue files set initrd initrd.gz set cmdline "ppp.username=IT ppp.password=IT msm_sdcc.msmsdcc_fmax=32000000 pm.sleep_mode=0 board-htcvogue.panel_type=1 fbcon=rotate:3" boot

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
mines boots every time on my titan..mostly works well.. but some programs do crash / lockup i suppose due to low memory available.
- opera works very nice - market doesn't seem to download app.. but Sam2 works fine HTML Code:
set cmdline "ppp.username=IT ppp.password=IT msm_sdcc.msmsdcc_fmax=32000000 pm.sleep_mode=0 board-htctitan.panel_type=0 fbcon=rotate:3 mddi.width=300 mddi.height=400"

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
Man, I still cannot get Android to load on my Titan. I'm running the Titan Reloaded 1.4b2 rom if that makes a diff. I've tried putting the files in every place mentioned and it ALWAYS hangs on the "cannot mount sd card" error. At this point, it's got to be my SD card, even tho it's 2GB non-HC card. Cuz from what I'm seeing, it should just work - or work after a couple of tries - it's NEVER worked for me. Anyone else agree its the card?

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
it definately sounds like its your card.
i have all files on the storage card (inside NO folder). then i shortcut the haret.exe to my device just to keep from having to manuever through file explorer. |

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan
new symptom:
Code:
warning: 'rild' uses 32-bit compatibilities (legacy support in use) I've unzipped the data.img file. Fixed my first problem. Now this comes up. This is obviously a modem issue because it has this when the problem persists: Code:
A N D R O I D Initializing Modem: =================== sh: can't access tty: job control turned off #username= Password= APN= [ 4.441732] warning: 'rild" uses 32-bit compatibilities (legacy support in use) Also: No username + No Password Username but no password Vice Versa Disabling Titanium, 23MB of Mem free EDIT::::GOT IT WORKING!!!! extracted data.gz to data.img and ran it. runs every time. now looking for ways to answer my calls ...hmmmm Last edited by thvoicwethin; 04-29-2009 at 05:11 PM. |
