Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)

ok, as stated earlier i flashed the ROM briefly enough to get the updated radio 3.39 and reflash no2chem's build 5065... i'll tell ya the first few boots were ugly... took a long time to paint the today screen, and a long time to get signal. after that it seems to have quieted a bit... but i did have a disconnect in the middle of my tether session and i mean in a matter of less than 30 mins-- something that had completely gone away with the last 3 radios i used and something that i completely hate because i tether heavily to my laptop for long periods of time.

a few pros: i do like that it comes with prl 60612 already installed...

pie is much quicker, no lags or hangs... yet

havent tried gps yet

so those are my impressions thus far... i've only had it on the phone for about 2 hours though so more impressions to follow.

I cooked a 5060 Rom last night, I don't know about it though. I don't have Sprint as a carrier so I cooked the custom splash screens into it, and selected what I thought I wanted, the problem for me when I'm trying to cook a rom, I always forget to add an ingredient in the kitchen then it turns out like crap. I cooked 2 last night and back to back I forgot to click to add regedit. So they were completely worthless to me, then I cooked another, I just noticed this morning there is no MMS. Ugh back to the kitchen.

Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)

i have a NooB question about upgrading the radio version...

does flashing to the newer radio effect the WiFi at all? meaning is the firmware in control of the WiFi radio or just the radio for the phone? the reason i ask is becasue i am having issues with my WiFi and i am hoping that just MAYBE upgrading to 3.39 will fix my WiFi issue...

Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)

Well thanks to another thread I have Sprintv working on this rom. Now to find a version of HTC Home that will not lock it up on bootup. Other than the winmo 5 version, that you cannot change anything, nor will it work with the jog wheel....

thats a very good question... but i have no idea what the answer would be. i think you might stang a good chance of resolving it either by upgrading the radio or hard reseting you vurrent setup.

thats just it though... if i do a hard reset or even flash my ROM the WiFi will associate 1 time with an AP then i will never work again, or at least until i hard reset or reflash again...

the f***ed up part about it is if i receive a text message it will start to work until i flip the switch off and on then it wont work again
