Re: ALLTEL ROM 3.35.671.9 on HTC's site now

I used Gnats instructions for GPS and it works GREAT! Thanks!

Once again, if you follow Gnats instructions to the letter GPS will work. MAKE SURE YOUR LOCATION SETTINGS ARE TURNED ON!

Re: ALLTEL ROM 3.35.671.9 on HTC's site now

If the Verizon ROM is version 2.xx, then no. You need a 3.xx ROM to be compatible with the new radio.
Best way would just be to cook a custom ROM for Verizon.

Re: ALLTEL ROM 3.35.671.9 on HTC's site now

Has anybody got this working with Windows Live? It works fine for me with Google Maps, but Windows Live never seems to lock on a signal.

Re: ALLTEL ROM 3.35.671.9 on HTC's site now

After updating to this ROM, I lost my data connection. When I enter ##775 or ##778, it will not accept the 000000 unlock code. I'm also unable to use either option when I dial *228. I get the message that we are unable to activate your phone at this time. Any suggestions?

Yes,,, SSSiiirrr...

I tried it,, after installing the security patch, then running the cab. the gps works fine...

it does seem to take a little bit longer for the gps to acquire sats,, but im pretty sure that the alltel rom is not optimized for that since it didnt ship with it,,

I do remember seeing some threads somewhere about optimizing the gps on the titan, but cant remember where I saw them,, Ill have to look again..

Re: ALLTEL 3.35 is now on HTC Site!!!

Those who installed the cab and GPS is now working... if you turn the phone off (into standby, not completely off) and turn it back on, does the GPS still work?

I'm finding I have do a soft reset or full power down for the GPS to work next time I turn it on. I didn't have this problem with the Sprint ROM.

I'm currently trying to research this to see if it's in the OS or the radio, but just curious if anyone else has the same problem.

The files are signed with a developer certificate so you will probably need to turn security off before they'll work correctly. I found a file to do that here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=330291

You will probably need to do a soft reset after installing.
Let me know how it works out!

Ran through the 3 security steps and installed your cab. Nice work! Got the new Alltel rom from htc tonight and now have GPS! It took maybe 10 seconds to find 8 sats! Very nice!! Thanks again for the cab files!

Does this little GPS trick work with the Sprint Touch?
