The files are signed with a developer certificate so you will probably need to turn security off before they'll work correctly. I found a file to do that here:

You will probably need to do a soft reset after installing.

Can someone put the 3 gps file.cab on a different site because rapidshare never works for me.... i have tried all 3 computers the security code never loads so i can never put it in to start downloading them.

Mine actually stopped working and hasn't worked since that first day. Ever since I can't get it to lock onto any satellites. It tries, but never locks. I'll let it sit for 30 minutes in the car while driving and it still won't lock. Even @ 10 minutes to lock, it's a bit too slow to be useful I think. Kind of disappointing, really. Hopefully Alltel will release an update that enables it natively and maybe it will work better?!

My Touch has the same problem, the GPS only worked maybe 1 or 2 days. However, my Mogul doesn't have this problem. I changed an additional driver file on it that I mentioned earlier in the thread. I'll try changing this file on my Touch and if it fixes it, I'll update the GPS enable cab file.

GPS works well on mine. I didn't have to load any additional drivers using Vetvitos black pill.

I just had to re boot all my programs because I had to get a warranty replacement and installed the drivers again and now I cant get a lock on Satellites. Gnat, what file did you have to change? Thanks

I changed msm7500usbfn.dll to the one from the Sprint GPS ROM.

I get a great lock within about 1 min in Omaha. This is the third 6800 I had(don't ask) and all of them have the same outcome. GPS works fantastic in this area, within 3-7 feet at most. It can tell when I'm walking inside my house. The kids love watching the little blue dot follow us around. I think it just must have to do with the area, although I had no probs in Vegas either. Hope you get it working! After the most recent posting about how to upgrade the roms, and having successfully baked a few myself, I can hardly believe I got so frustrated trying to flash before. Its crazy.
