Do the native apps like notes, calendar, calculator, pictures & Videos all get installed? none of these are in the list of apps to install for the cooker. YES

More specifically, how about Office Mobile? I see word, excel, and I think power point listed. Anyhow, there were 3 office tools to select. Are those different, or are they the native ones I have before replacing the ROM? They are the ones that are standard with WM6.1

Last question for today. What's the difference between 5060 and 5067? The first page of this thread says use 5060. I see two others. One with a lower number and the other higher number (5067). I think 5067 is the first with USCC, 5060 and 5067 are both No2Chem ROMS, and that is his numbering scheme. They are versions of the OS build. (The newest is 20270)

BTW: I played with one of the other .txt files. It had US Cellular in the pull down list. So after I figure out what the difference is in 5060 and 5067, I will wonder what the difference is in that one!

Before I even try the install, I want to also thank you and everyone who is part of this for writing such a simple sounding FAQ. I hope it works for me.

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

If I don't select the three office apps from the list then they won't be there, or since they were there like notes and calendar, they will?

Any reason not to go with 20270 instead of 5060? Is there a "stable" version designator?

If you dont select those, they wont be there... basically if it's optional then you'll see it
otherwize, its included... the whole basis for the kitchen is so you can easily customize

as far as the 20270, you should read thru the thread and see what issues others are having...
that is unless you just wanna jump head in and try it out... i think you'll find far less bugs in No2 5067 than 20270

Re: Uscc 6800 Gps, Custom Roms, Downgrading Guide

Great! Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense too.

I read around a bit, and it sounds like the 20270 and other 5 digit kitchens are an interesting experiment. But 5067 does sound the most stable. I think I'll try it first.

Built a rom last night, but didn't flash it yet. Want to play a couple more times with the options and maybe even add my own .cab for VMNetworkBrowser. It isn't in the list, and I use that aplication right now a lot. This is fun so far!
