I understand the donations they freely accept (thus making this a commercial product, with reasonable expectations of professional support) probably only cover hosting costs and maybe a beer once in a while. But I think we'd all be better off if they dropped the attitude and treated everyone with dignity and respect. Saying "if you don't like the login requirement, feel free to leave it blank" knowing full well that means that the kitchen won't work at all, is arrogant and petty. This "leave it us, you couldn't possibly know what you're doing" attitude goes from annoying to comical when they "officially" release the 5060 kitchen with typos and bugs after browbeating everyone for a week who dared to use the "unsupported" basekit.
I specifically don't ask questions or post on these boards very often because people DO attack you here sometimes. It's the same reason that DCD left for XDA, and why there's threads at XDA about people here being jerks. I won't jump in the middle of the cat fight that's going on here.. but the people who are saying there's no elephant in the room are lying.

from what i remember, you didnt make your "own" kitchen. you got colonels and removed stuff from it. made it a clean kitchen. you still used tools and the builds that came from colonel... the same exact thing that you are complaining about the rom team doing. But here is what the rom team does:

GGuru has made an outstanding buildos. he isnt using bepe's buildos, but HIS OWN!! its a rocking program, and does far much more than bepe's. but bepe's is amazing also, still does more than i could do. they make most of their own stuff. and the builds that are released are work done by the rom team, no2chem is on the rom team afaik, and he is the one that has made wm6.1 possible for all of us titan users, even if you use dcd's kitchen, he still uses stuff from no2chem.

No, I mean just do your OWN kitchen or Custom ROM... as in the way you like it. It's your decision whether to share it to anyone else.

In other words, just do your own kitchen/custom ROM and be done with it!
You don't have to put up with anyone and no one has to put up with you.

If you think about it, we're all just ripping off the programmers at Microsoft and HTC. GG and No2Chem are just making it a little better, a little more accessible. They're not writing Windows Mobile.
Um, no. You have a gross missunderstanding of the project.

The current kitchen team is doing an adequate job (it'd be nice if they'd at least test their official releases for typos before rolling them out)
Yes, it would. Mistakes happen. It'd also be nice if we didn't have to work for a living and there were more hours for unlimited testing.

So you're saying you are actually developing Windows Mobile? My apologies! I had no idea you worked for Microsoft!

You wrote an installer, or at the very best a compiler. You didn't code Windows Mobile itself. You didn't even do as much as HTC does for their devices. Don't pretend it's anything more. You sound like a producer taking credit for the script, the acting and the directing.

No, that has nothing to do with why DCD left. DCD decided he was intentionaly being misled about what tools to use to do ROM work (he wasn't), threw a fit, and left. There might be an elephant, but it isn't that one.

This just needs to end. Jeff, if you are upset, sorry. If you choose to continue down this road, go ahead. Noone can stop you. But do not insult myself or others with comments about a lack of support or empathy for the users. We have literally put in thousands of hours on this project and support to go along with it. On a daily basis, we are helping people upgrade and recover from problems. The offer has always been extended for you or anyone else to join in and help. However, I guess I miss you when you join the chat to assist.

Now, for the record, that whole clean and simple thing had almost nothing to do with me. It was Helmi's work and Helmi gave it to us to package and release. He did not appreciate other people using it and claiming it as their own. Enough said, its over and done.

Now please don't bring up dcd or anything else. It is all juvenile and silly. dcd left on his own and even stated he did it to make one of the members here look bad. That was his choice. Aside from his outbursts that were unacceptable, he was never contacted/banned/or whatever people like to think.

With that said, I hope we can be bigger than this. As gguru said, this project is driven by the users and feedback. We still commit to addressing issues as fast as possible and I think 99% of the users would agree with that. But again, if you don't like it, there are other options out there. Just like there were other soup shops that Seinfeld could visit.

This is ridiculous Jeff. I never claimed any of that. All I'm doing is refuting your statement that all anyone is doing is manipulating someone else's code. You're wrong. There is in fact original work, and plenty of it.

No. The buildos.msi hasn't changed, nor should you have received a download for any portion of buildos from Updater (assuming you were already current). If it was working before the update, I can't imagine why downloading a few .rars would have caused it to stop. Does G'reloc fail if you build with your prior selections against the prior kitchen?

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19209 (Build 19209.1.0.2) aka 5060

Okay so I built up a ROM using the kitchen and all is well and good except for two things.

First off, when a text message comes in now, my device turns itself on for a second and then shuts itself right back off, forcing me to turn it on again to view the message.

Second, the dialer pops up constantly. Every time I click OK to get out of an application and back to the today screen, the dialer pops up instead of the today screen.

Other than those two issues, its working flawlessly, however in order for me to flash via Vista, I had to build the NBH and copy it to the Titan RUU manually with my Titan in bootloader mode. Not a big deal and I know Vista is a royal PITA. Haven't toyed with it much to see if its a permissions thing or not.
