Have you checked power settings, or S2U2 settings?
Your timer may be very quick.

You can go to Tools and select Get Snapshots. This will populate the snapshot column. Then you can right click the oems that are available. You can also right click and visit the webpages of the oems that usually contain pics.

One other thing... I can not figure out how to change the startup animation in this kitchen. I always enable it and it always uses the Vista startup animation. Can someone please share some pointers on this?

LOL thanks Colonel, I feel stupid now.

Tiermann - I think that the problem does probably lie in the power management settings. I checked one of the power management options in the kitchen. As for s2u2, I know its not that because I can't stand the lag on s2u2 or the memory usage so I don't use it at all and just keep device lock on my today screen.

Built a new ROM and tried another dialer... dialer wouldn't come up, so I just installed the TOUCHed dialer cab off my storage card and it works fine and has no bugs. No more power bugs either and everything is REAL zippy.
