That was the culprit, thanks for the reply.. I'm still not up to speed on the "virtual" copied folder with all the old data in it, but I deleted it and all is well so I'm not going to worry about it now.

Now do I need to install the old activesync drivers under Vista in order to run this kitchen, or not -- I am now using sp1 of Vista.

Thanks.

Using Windows Mobile Device Center the only issues I've had with Vista are - 1. Run both the Updater and BuildOS as Administrator - and 2. If you manually update files ensure you copy them into your BuildOS Kitchen and Project directories if you download them to say your desktop and then Move them to this location you will mess up their rights. Copy inherits rights, Move - rights come from where it was moved from. NTFS 101. If you should happen to do this you can just open up the User rights starting from the BuildOS directory down. I know I've seen where some folks comment they can't Update as it says it can't copy files. I would bet 2 bits it's problem # 2 from above. Moving files moves rights and with Vista unlike XP files on the Desktop and Program Files behave differently.

Have now cooked and burned at least a dozen ROMS from the PPC Kitchen with Vista with UAC active. Vista Ultimate SP1, Vista Home Premium SP1 and non SP1 work without a problem.

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19209 (Build 19209.1.0.2) aka 5060

Last night I flashed to 5060 build using the kitchen method, all worked well, but unfortunately I found a few issues, for one, ## codes did not work in dialer, and the biggest problem, IOTA refused to work in any fashion, all phone functions worked as far as phone calls in and out, showed EVDO status, etc, but just kept giving me 1012 errors. Tried quite a few ideas that I found around this forum and the web, but nothing worked, so I flashed it with the Black Pill rom, which I do not like as much as the 5060, BUT iota provisioned perfectly right away, plus ## codes work, although I do not like the dialer on black pill rom.

Any suggestions for trying 5060 again and getting iota to work?

One more question, what is the maximum ROM size that can be flashed to the titan? I searched, but once again it fails me.. only brings up 30,000 posts that are unrelated to what I am actually asking..

There is no max. So, put as much crap in as you want.

Really? A perfectly reasonable question and all he gets is snark from the ROM team? I'd kind of like to know the answer to that as well. I know the probable answer, given that ROMs are compressed, is "it depends". Some things compress better than others. But even a general range might be more helpful than a joke.

Um, that is a perfectly legitimate answer. There is no max. Well, the max is the size of the rom partition. So, if you have a 160MB+ .nbh, you may have issues.

Again with the attacks? Why do you have to make this so difficult?
