Thanks... what is strange is that TomTom's site even says it will work without any external program but I haven't found that to be true. The only reason I'm using TomTom is my company uses it as an integrated application with a routing/scheduling software we developed for the green industry.

If you guys could include tomtom in as optional with astrolauncher that would be great.

I guess I'll give the kitchen the old college try here in the next day or so....

btw.. glad to see you are part of the "team" so to speak... I've always been a fan of yours -- have used some of your earlier work and you've been very helpful and supportive.

Hey everyone! I just installe No2Chem's latest build. After the initial setup the device tries to Customize just ike standard sprint ROMS do. I went ahead and hit soft reset, but now I'm wondering, since this is a custom ROM should I have let it run? Thanks in advance.

-- I just did a hard reset and let it run anyways... didn't really seem to do anything though?

I have noticed in my limited interaction with this ROM, that it doesn't have the new "x button" that is in the ROM from sprint - nor does it have the smart dialer that allows you to just press numbers to get to a contact within the dialer. Is this correct? can I add this on - particularly the smart dialer?

As long as you have configured data service and it works, you should be good

yes that is correct, they each are options in BuildOS under the appropriate category.

Just launcher shortcuts. TomTom usually comes on a storage card anyway.

Thanks PPC_Noob and justpctech. I'm taking my first crack and building an OS using BuildOS... So many options! is there a place where people have posted what they think is best, what they chose to include, and results?

Also, what is .Net CF3.5RTM? Do I need it? Thanks again!

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19209 (Build 19209.1.0.2) aka 5060

Just installed --- did have to go off my corporate network to get the thing to load.
OUt of curiousity... what ports are you guys using when buildos boots up? I'd like to open them on my firewall.

UPDATE: yah.. I'm an idiot... I didn't put the file in the right folder with the right name.... needed to rename it to wmstartup_ani.gif I prob did double duty as I put it in the user_oem > my startup animations and also put it in the BuildOS > Animations folder... not sure which one did it... but it's right now..
tierman... I saw a post about keeping the stock gifs --- I tried to include the stock sprint ahead gif but I'm only getting the Sprint logo on splash... did I do something wrong?

thanks.

.Net CF3.5RTM is the latest version of Net Compact Framework. There are actually quite a few programs that require it so I'd highly recommend it.

If you hold the mouse pointer over the name of each selection you'll normally see a short description of it. This will definitely help you decided if you need/want it.

I'd also go easy on the "File Managers", "General Utilities" and "Today Plug-Ins" as many of them do overlapping functions.

Just remember that you can always reflash, so don't be afraid to try things out.
