Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19209 (Build 19209.1.0.2) aka 5060

I am a little new to this. I have a question regarding the flash process used in BuildOS. Does the tool reflash all data componts, including the radio rom/extended memory or does some data stay from the initial or previous Sprint 3.35 Stock Rom flash. The reason I ask this question is because of the issue I am having. When I use the speakerphone, the person on the other side is getting loud distorted echoesh sounds. I am not sure what could be causing this. It might have something to do with Voice Privacy. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I am not sure if I should try reinstalling Sprint's 3.35 Stock Rom and then reflashing it with BuildOS. I don't know if this will help, since I already reflashed with the rom created by BuildOS. Could Audiopara also cause this issue even after I reflashed the phone without it. I really do not want to flash Sprint's Stock 3.35 Rom due to the risk of Sprintitizing my phone. HELP PLEASE.

Now two of his customizations that I liked don't seem to be right: font and time/date on the taskbar. The font, although seemingly the right size and style (and his nueFONTS app confirms it), looks very rough in some places... kind of the way text looks on an LCD screen when set to the wrong resolution. And I can't figure out how to get the date AND time to display on the taskbar the way no2chem has it in his ROMs.
I'm havingt a bit of a font issue myself. I made sure that cleartype was not checked in the kitchen and I also didn't install No2chem's font manager. Cleartype is turned off on my phone. All is well except reading messages in Poutlook. For some reason the messages appear to use Cleartype. The Inbox is fine, the problem is only when reading specific messages. No huge deal, just be nice to have Cleartype completely off as it's tougher for me to read.

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19209 (Build 19209.1.0.2) aka 5060

My builds make it to the very end and die when it states that some NueHibernate file is missing. I tried uninstalling the buildOS and installing and updating again. Still same problem. I then tried NOT installing any of the Nue programs but still got the same problem.

Btw, I did not try flashing the phone. Phone was not even connected. Any ideas guys?

TIA,
tsp

try this. Go to start->programs->ppckitchen and right-click the BuildOS shortcut, then choose Run as admin from the list.

Did you previously have a no2chem version of 5060 or 5059 installed which didn't come through the updater? There may be some oems left behind in your USER_OEM folder.

The kitchen only flashes the ROM portion, not radio or extended rom.
The extended rom will not automatically customize to sprint anymore though once flashed to a kitchen rom if that's a concern. Either way you should not be letting the sprint customizations run on a non-sprint phone. Just soft-reset once before it starts (when you see customizing in 3 seconds), then flash your kitchen rom.

Audiopara could be causing your sound issues if you've changed settings from the default.

Cleartype is off by default. Option is under registry tweaks to turn it on.
If you mean the font itself, under nueTools there's an option to set font to Calibri which may be what you're familiar with in his ROMs.

As for cleartype when in threaded mode for poutlook, I've noticed that too. I just figured it out..
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"ClearTypeText"=dword:0
Will also turn it off for poutlook.

It gets set to on by no2chem's Regisrty IE Default

Just to be clear for those with Vista - if your user does not have rights to run as Admin you will have issues working around UAC (User Athentication Control). If some folks are trying this via a company computer and your company has restricted certain rights your mileage will vary and you may not have the option to run as Admin.....

Yeah, it was pulled out because it was basically worthless and didn't think anyone used it. I can get it together if you really need. Out of curiosity, why do you use it?
