I downloaded the buildos.msi and when I launch it, I get an error saying it is not a valid aplicaton. Am I doing something wrong? Sorry if it's a stupid question...

What OS is on you PC? Uninstall and reinstall.

My desktopPC is WindowsXp Sp2. Uninstall and reinstall what? I just downoaded the Buildos.msi to my desktop. I had an MDA before. I don't have any experience modifying the OS on my device. Thanks again for your quick response.... I have a new sprint mogul, I updated the rom to the newest from the sprint site and unlocked the device using hard spl

download buildos.msi again, then reinstall. If it still doesn't work, install Microsoft Installer from microsoft's site.

If you don't want to update the fix just involves the registry entry which was part of the IRDA OEM..

try this..

my ruu will not work on my vista os... but when i go to my buddys computer which is xp, it works just fine. i get to the last step on the ruu and then it will show a file missing screen.. i have already deleted and reloaded build dos and the updates as well. i am syncing with microsoft syncing program.. do i need something else to sync with.. and i do have oipro 2.4o. my main concern is why can i flash using xp but not vista

So I finally gave this a try and I am having a blast. This is awesome.

I do have one issue that I am not even sure where to ask about it. I picked Ftouchflo to add to my ROM. Everything seems okay. After uploading the rom I then click start, settings, ftouchfloConfig and nothing happens. Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Duh I figured it out now. I didnt install the Java stuff. That seemed to fix all the issues I was having.

install the latest microsoft .net framework.

Ok...now that I have finally read this novel...I have a couple of problems...

I still cannot use nbhgen...even though the tool is there, it wont start. It only opens a MSDOS screen for 0.5 seconds. Supposidley you can look through AppData and find it. I dont see it in any of the various folders. Is your most recent Signed_RUU.nbh supposed to be in the Appdata folder after everything has been built??

Also, My phone will not display a new text message. The count will be correct in HTC home, but will not notify me on the softkey or via led. Nueled hasnt disabled the led or anything of that nature. Also, the icon doesnt appear in the top bar, like it used to. This is with 5060 build of the kitchen.

For something to be released not that long ago...i am very impressed with the lack of bugs. Everything is buggy when just released...but this has been very minimal. Stable enuff for a "Daily Driver" Mogul.
