so would this hold true with an app like navizon which has its own pwr management, is there a way to create exceptions.

Yes, n2c's newer builds (i'm 5060) have a properly functioning msvc.

unfortunately, this is my slow time @ work so I haven't fully tested some of this stuff full time on the road. always cooking up a new dish.

It's up to you to decide what you want to do with your extended_ROM - delete the files there and use it for storage, or keep it in case you want to revert.

It's not suprising it hangs after failing to load...some of the customizations are not compatible with WM6.1
Thanks gg...Maybe I wasn't being clear. It hangs because it can not find the sprint customization tsk file not because the customization actually run. It can't find it because my phone is from Verizon.

I do understand the extended rom space. What I was trying to get at was when you flash a ROM from this kitchen it tries to load the sprint customizations even though I have verizon selected as the provider. I know where those files are kept and it is doubtful a Verizon extended rom would have a script to run Sprint customizations so it errors.

It's not a really big deal. And the truth is it may be a vestige left over from flashing the radio into the unit. I can't say.
What I would like to see added to the kitchen at some point is the ability to check if you want customizations at all, A place to set pagepool (without editing text files) and a selector to pick the animation splash similar to the other splash screens.

And even if the kitchen never gets those things it is still the best Kitchen I have come accross for flashing this phone!

And speaking of 6.1 incompatabilities, how hard would it be to extract the 6.0 ROM from the sprint release so we might be able to build a GPS capable rom using the much more stable and compatible WM6.0?

I'm going to take a stab at this analogy thing....
The Kitchen is where you cook.
the basekit is the meat
the OEMs are the seasoning and side dishes
G-Reloc is the oven
BuildOS is the plating
RUU is the waiter
Glorious is the ability to do all of this...

I am running S2U2 0.99p (latest & greatest, to my knowledge). If colonel's hypothesis is correct, I think I will need to change my HTC Task Manager settings to always "Close" whenever I click the "X" box. That will reduce the number of apps running in the background. However, I thought that S2U2 runs like a Windows Service, so I wouldn't think that it should ever get terminated - regardless of how often it is accessed. I see it listed as a running process, not an application.

Regarding the V.C. issue, I guess I'll just keep my eyes open for a Kitchen update ...

I wish I knew why my BT HFL connection in my car keeps dropping out ... It's driving me krazee! (pun intended )

You flashed the stock Sprint 3.35 ROM, correct? When you flashed the 3.35 ROM, you flashed a sprint extended rom. The customizations are now sprint - and you don't want them.

Customizations are determined by which extended rom you have, period. Nothing to do with the kitchen at all.

Can't be done other than to not include Autorun

Did you look in the menus? You shouldn't need to edit text files.

It's not a ROM section, that's why it's not there already. I'll probably add some support for it anyway.

Didn't notice there was a stock 3.35 kitchen already available?

G'reloc is definitely not the oven - it's more like the artful presentation of the dish. BuildOS is more like a suise chef (since you are the chef).

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

This is my first flashing of a custom rom and I'm not sure why I'm having the following issue. I used BuildOS with Titan_No2Chem_5054_WM6.1 Selections. I was able to flash the ROM and have it boot up, however seemingly random programs are having issue running.

I get the following error "The file 'filename' cannnot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring the file."

I got this error for HTC Home Customizer, nueAudio Audio Para Configureation Tool, nueLEDConfig, Chess, and a couple other seemingly random apps.

Other programs seem to work fine, such as Google Maps, Adobe Reader LE, HTC Album.

All of these programs were loaded from the selection choices in BuildOS. I've flashed it 3 times and done 2 hard resets with the same results. I'm not sure what else I can do. Any help would be great. Thanks.

You haven't run the updater. Run the updater.

Include .NET 3.5 CF in your ROM

Thank you very much, I feel like an idiot for missing 1 thing.

The other issue that I'm having that I don't think is affecting me is when I do a new flash and it begins customizing, it says it can't find "/windows/spirnt.tsk" I don't know why it is looking for the sprint theme. When it can't find it, it will lock up and I need to reset it. Am I losing any installs because of this?
