Re: VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)

well vito, i would like to see another black theme with maybe a few more bells and whistles with the 3.35 rom, but if you wanna play with some other ideas i understand, how about A StarTrek theme, or a very nice Pipboy theme from fallout? i would kill for a Pipboy theme. as for other ideas, something "steampunk" would be very cool,

infact my phone looks like something steampunk, its all beat and scared but still works great
i really need to take it in and have the screen checked before my 1 year warranty is up, dont wanna use insurance yet

Which bells and whistles?

I've noticed something that seems very, very interesting to me.

I haven't done much testing, but over the past four hours I have loaded the stock as well as three custom ROM's.

Vetvito has somehow squeezed 900k of available program memory. Check it out ... 47.88 MB ... once you turn off the home screen add-on's like Live Search and HTC Home Plugin, you can get 27 MB of available program memory.

Care to edumacate a padawan ? ... I'd like to put one together just like this, but without:
Games
Adobe Reader
Help
Java
Pocket RAR
Windows Live
Large Start Menu
Customer Feedback
External GPS

Again, kudos on the fine, fine job, VetVito!

That's Naked! No External GPS. That's a lot.

If the External GPS program is needed for Google Maps to interface with the Mogul GPS, then it would want to keep it.

Re: VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)

Just flashed to the Uni61 ROM. I have no audio coming from my ear piece. I get notifications from everything else (text/VMX) but nothing when I call out or get a call in.

Re: VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)

How do we go about installing a ROM with an extension of exe?

Do I just double click on it? On ppc or PC?

Thanks,
tsp

Re: VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)

I went with VetVito's Cricket stock rom. Seems to working fine for me. I had a problem with 6.1 my phone wouldn't dial out at times and people were complaing that my phone went straight to VM, and I had to go to comm manager and turn the phone off/on time consuming. This seems to be fine. New radio is working fine also. The wifi router just had to be set up, didn't know that. The previous rom I was using had the router configured already.

Follow the instructions, if you haven't already, to prepare your phone and then just double click the .exe. It will do what it needs to do after that.

Re: VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)

Hi guys, this will be my first custom rom, I have the Sprint Mogul and if someone could confirm the steps I need to follow I would greatly appreciate it.

First I d/l and install the 2.40 unlocker for GPS enabled roms, then I d/l and install your custom rom (Sprint version)... and this is the part that confuses me a bit... I have to then get my 4-digit unlock code from Sprint so that I can enter my phone number on #778? Am I missing a step?

Please forgive my noobishness : ( , and thanks in advance for any responses.

Re: VetVito's Aero Windows Mobile (6.1.1)

I just checked out the AeroSprint ROM.

I'm new to the VetVito ROMs but what I would like to see is a slightly better explanation of the different versions that are offered. It was kind of hard to compare what each one has and does not have (as compared to each other). Also, shouldn't HTCHome have the customizer included. There is a new version out (V 1.0 Final).

I was thinking that perhaps Sprint2 is better for me than AeroSprint. I'll try to do more reading about it.

I like that the ROMs are pretty clean. Any and all advise is greatly appreciated.
