I'll wait for no2chems next basekit and try it from there. Thanks for all of your help!
THis may or may not help, but have you tried flashing from a memory card? I find it's much faster than flashing via USB...

I'm quite curious about this flashing-from-a-memory card bit. I noticed this "NueUpdate" function of the latest ROM, and now you're mentioning it. How is this achieved?

1. Download basekit
2. Download dogguy kitchen
3. Remove oem, rom, sys folders(also there should be no nbh file, if there is remove it. Not sure if you have to but that is what I did.)
4. Copy and past the oem, rom, sys folders from basekit to dogguy kitchen.
5. Add what you want to the oem file
6. Run buildos and check what you want.
7. Run buildit
8 Run ruu.
After the ruu runs it takes a bit to load, the latest does not have a welcome screen so you will have to tap on the white screen to complete setup. Hope this helps
I just tried this without putting in any OEM's. Everything works until I run the RUU which just crashes. Any idea why?

Between what you said No2chem and BBlanski i have managed to make a ROM from the basekit. I have been able to add a bunch of stuff i want to use... some items are going to require alot more tinkering to get the bugs worked out so they can be integrated into the rom, but with folks like these around it shouldn't be an issue.... Thx again for the help, I do appreciate it, and your patience with my noob questions...

Thx

what I did was simple. Just like bblanksi said, replace the Kitchen folders with no2chems base kit. then just run the buildos.bat, you shouldn't get any errors from this. then run the buildit.bat. that should finish without any errors too.... when you get to this point, you will have a .nbh file around 54 megs.... this should flash just fine.... Now you can go back and add all the custom stuff you want but this is where the reg issues come in, you are going to have duplicate file issues and sometimes registry issues, this is where i am at, hunting down how to fix the issues and still have the apps work properly....

good luck

Is there a nbh file in the ruu when you go to run it? also are you synced to the computer. I am completely new to this stuff also, been messing around and reading all I can for two weeks. Been using dcd's stuff and no2chem's stuff and it has been trial and error for the most part. Big thanks to both of those guys for all the work, dogguy also. I can only imagine how much time they put in after all the time I spend messing with it.

The problem is when I try to flash it. Yes, I do have a .nbh file in the RUU folder and the update utility comes up. It indicates that it is going to update to DogGuy 2.17 and then crashes.

Ya, I had that too. DO NOT RUN the Prepit.bat file..... Taker No2chems BASE KIT and put the SYS, OEM, and ROM folders into the kitchen folder, you WILL replace the ones that were in there. The run the buildos.bat file. You should have no errors. Then run builtit.bat file.... When that is done goto the RUU folder and you should see a file name RUU_signed.nbh that is about 54 megs. Now from here, take your phone and press the POWER and CAMERA button and hold them, and then press and hold the reset button by the SD card. After~2 secs you should see the bootloader screen, should be 3 colors bars on it with some text. Now you can just plug your phone into the USB port and then run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe, and follow the directions..... Hope this helps ya....

Well, it's quite easy. First you need to format a memory card to FAT32 (it HAS to be fat32). Transfer your built .NBH to the card, rename it to TITAIMG.nbh, insert the card in the phone and put it in bootloader mode (hold Power + Camera and hit the reset button), the loader will automatically find the image and ask if you want to perform the update.

I hope I was clear enough and that the instructions help.
