If this is indeed the case, a rep (don't care if it's low, high, medium level) should not say anything unless it came from Sprint corporate, a press release, their managers, etc.

That's just my opinion though. I prefer no information over a bunch of rumors, made up dates, I heard this, I heard that, etc.

I'm with you on that id rather have no info. I have actually had customers coming in saying that tech support reps are directing people to this specifc website for information on their PPCs, Which is great for PPCGEEKS but doesnt that make you wonder????? Sprint pretty much admitting that you guys know more about their phone than they do!!!! i find that hilarious

When they release it, it will be released. I am officially giving up on reading threads like this one that provide no useful information. Next time I read, "info on the release date" or anything of that sort, I am just going to ignore it and move on to something more useful.

Yo, this is getting rediculous. Sprint will release it when they release it. I don't care if you claim to have an uncle's third cousin's ex-fiance that knows a guy who works at HTC (or sprint for that matter), and who you got drunk to get info out of them, but seriously, everyone's getting at eachother's throats over this. I think the Moderators should delete any post that contains a "release date" unless it links to an official htc or sprint press release regarding this rom. (which we won't ever see)..

Everyone needs to be patient and focus on what we have NOW, and what we can do with it, and not focus on what's coming in the future... besides... Rome wasn't built in a day.

Honestly people..

Ok not that many of you will be holding your breath on this one but i just got off the phone with a friend from Advanced Tech Support with Sprint. He states (he also has the mogul) that in a few days possibly a week a new rom update is coming out. I think he said it was 3.7, it is going to address the Sprint Tv issues we have been having along with reactivating

mms. He also stated that it will be having REV so that you will get the down load speeds of 2mg dl and 700k ul... So just thought I would drop this out. Don't know when the exact day will be for the release but I will get back with him and find out.

Hey guys!

I was at the store the other day and out of the corner of my eye, I saw this green movement. I'm not the type of guy that is easily distracted, but this was different. I went to investigate, and followed the movements. I went behind tables and shelves, and everntually rounded a corner when I came upon it...a leprechaun! I couldn't believe it! I gave chase, and the little guy put up one hell of a fight. I grabbed onto his little green coat but he broke loose. As I held the little coat in my hand, I looked at my target as he ran off. He was wearing a Sprint dress shirt and name tag, "Patrick." I threw his clothing to the ground and finally cornered him. I grabbed him by his tiny neck and demanded the release date of the ROM for the Mogul. He asked me to lean in, to tell me the secret. I gave him my ear. He whispered "next week," and then bit down hard onto my ear. He broke free from my grasp as I clutched my wound, and I let out a great cry! It was all worth it, I thought, as long as the ROM comes out next week. Otherwise, I'm on the hunt for my new "friend," Patrick.

There you have it...straight from the Sprint leprechaun's mouth. You're welcome.

I am so tired of the same ole same ole on this mogule issue..we got played by sprint on this device. I dont know why they would put a product on the market with the chipset capability that the mogule has and not offer software to maximize the consumers experience with this technology. But at this late stage of the game I could careless about a new ROM update hell before we get familiar with the thing it will be other more innovative products available if not through sprint , then some other carrier. Again Sprint droped the ball in the last 2 minutes of the game on the 1 yard line. Thanks again Sprint.

I bet you that this release is going to catch us by surprise. Its going to come out on some random day without your speculation.

And its really doesn't make too much sense to get mad at Sprint in HTC ATM, because these rumors didn't come from people authorized to speak credible information on the subject. True, they did drop the ball in the first place, but it wasn't really the head Mogul marketing manager that stated the dates. Its just hearsay.

The only thing Mogul users can be upset about, is about the statment on HTC's site saying the ROM would be released early Q1 2008. Early Q1 can be defined before the first half of the quarter, and this has come and gone with no explanation.

All these dates are not official, so if you are getting upset because you read them, they went by, and nothing happened... it's your own fault.

Has this thread become ridiculous? Yes. As I said in the past, we usually lock these speculation threads as they accomplish nothing, but our users spoke and they want to be able to spam... I mean, speculate

So... instead of having tens of threads about this being created, we preferred the lesser of 2 evils by leaving one open to discuss this.

Anyway, just as a reminder, be civil and stay on topic as much as you can. There are infractions being issued for anything against the rules
