I am so tired of the same ole same ole on this mogule issue..we got played by sprint on this device. I dont know why they would put a product on the market with the chipset capability that the mogule has and not offer software to maximize the consumers experience with this technology. But at this late stage of the game I could careless about a new ROM update hell before we get familiar with the thing it will be other more innovative products available if not through sprint , then some other carrier. Again Sprint droped the ball in the last 2 minutes of the game on the 1 yard line. Thanks again Sprint.

I bet you that this release is going to catch us by surprise. Its going to come out on some random day without your speculation.

And its really doesn't make too much sense to get mad at Sprint in HTC ATM, because these rumors didn't come from people authorized to speak credible information on the subject. True, they did drop the ball in the first place, but it wasn't really the head Mogul marketing manager that stated the dates. Its just hearsay.

The only thing Mogul users can be upset about, is about the statment on HTC's site saying the ROM would be released early Q1 2008. Early Q1 can be defined before the first half of the quarter, and this has come and gone with no explanation.

All these dates are not official, so if you are getting upset because you read them, they went by, and nothing happened... it's your own fault.

Has this thread become ridiculous? Yes. As I said in the past, we usually lock these speculation threads as they accomplish nothing, but our users spoke and they want to be able to spam... I mean, speculate

So... instead of having tens of threads about this being created, we preferred the lesser of 2 evils by leaving one open to discuss this.

Anyway, just as a reminder, be civil and stay on topic as much as you can. There are infractions being issued for anything against the rules

Well I happen to be dating an HTC employee (I'll leave her name out) and have been been for some time. She gets all the test releases, and always gives me insider info. Normally shes pretty tight-lipped about official releases and whatnot, but the most awesome thing happened.

ugh.... good story, its all true, except .... it was MY NAME she was screaming, you were just in denial, and substituted the release date to be able to accept

I actually hope the update happens soon as some of the custom Roms are still a bit buggy, maybe all this free beta testing will have been for some good. Also wondering how or if we will ever get WM 6.1 without ripping it from another device, it seems a bit much for a simple Microsoft upgrade.

Uh I thought Sprint was releasing the ROM Update not HTC?....Best original rumor I have heard to date. You gotta admit the rumors keep it humerous...lol

I spoke to a Sprint Tech yesterday, that they were waiting on HTC to release the update. I don't care who is waiting on who, I would just like for it to be released.

what gets me is that htc claims that sprint will be releasing the update, okay?
so i go to the sprint website and go under "mogul downloads."
well, that link takes me to the america.htc.com website.

Sprint releases the update, however, due to their agreement with HTC, it is released through HTC's site.

Hello, I am a time traveler from the future. I have returned to the past as a deep time historical archeologist. I am currently living amounst you to further our knowledge of your time period. As such I have procured and have been using a communication device from this time period, namely the "Mogul". I had seen one of these "Mogul" devices at a history museum in my research before returning to this time period. First of all, I have no idea how you carry such a large device around, and having to physically touch it to use it? No holographic display? I wondered why my great grandparents had to have multiple surgical eye enhancements, the device has a screen so small it's barely legible. In answer to your question, I have searched through some of the historical documents. As both "Sprint" and "HTC" are now no longer active buisnesses and many of their records have been destroyed in massive fires caused by an attack on their respective corporate offices during a massive uprising of disgruntled users, it is difficult to isolate the dates of this "rom update" you are searching for. The most accurate time index I can provide (with 99.9% probability) is that this "rom update" was released sometime between the years 2007 and 2010.
