Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
I think I got it. I was using the first relocker to try to flash to the N2C rom. It appears to be working now. Thanks... Your response was enough to help me figure it out.

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
We really don't know for sure until it gets here. It may have an entirely different bootloader included. We'll know soon enough.

ok, crap... I thought I've read enough of these forums to know what I'm doing, but obviously not!
I have the Sprint HTC Mogul, upgraded today to the new Rev. A and GPS rom from their website. I unlocked the phone using 'TitanUnlocker' and installed nueROM v2.0 build 5052. After that, my Mogul rebooted itself after trying to do anything. I then tried to put back on the stock ROM I had previously loaded, and accidentilly ran another unlocker program - which put me into some kind of recovery mode. I think I got lost at that point and wasn't sure what the hell to do... so, in the end, I think I'm screwed here... in some way or another (through my own idiot actions), I'm stuck at the boot HTC screen with the words 'No Radio'. I have no idea what to do from here since I can't get USB connected again. Can someone help me out? |

You have the unlocked bootloader for the older ROMs now, so the best thing for you to do is to flash the official 2.17 package, then install the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL unlocker, then flash the new official 3.35 package again. At that point, you will have the new official ROM and radio, and the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL unlocked bootloader. You can stop there, or flash the nueROM. 1. Reset into bootloader (power-camera-reset) 2. Flash official 2.17 ROM package (ignore bit about activesync) 3. Install Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL 4. Flash official 3.35 ROM package (optional) Flash nueROM Last edited by bakntyme; 03-10-2008 at 11:13 PM. |

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading
I know, the site was hammered last night - took a while for sure.
I appreciate the follow-up, I followed your steps with some modification: 1. Flashed official 2.17 ROM (thank God I found that on their website) 2. Relocked the phone 3. Flashed official 3.35 ROM Now at this point I assume if I want to upgrade from here, I'll install the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL, then flash with nueROM, etc. Wife and 2 kids with no phone, I was sweating hard for awhile! |
