Yes, I have double checked to make sure that the file is called TITAIMG.nbh, not TITAIMG.nbh.nbh or anything silly. I did everything I was supposed to and its not working?
Nevermind... figured it out. Apparently XP can't format the card... went to Vista and it formatted no problem, ROM flashed with no problem.

I''ve run into a similiar problem. My screen says "loading..." for like 15 min. I've taken the same step you have (Vista etc.). Any suggestions?

Unhappy Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading

Hello there, I'm the latest n00b trying to jumpstart my XV6800...

Verizon. Windows XP. Stock everything (I think...more on that later)....

ROM=2.09 Radio=1.30

BL Screen:

TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.05.1000
CPLD-9

I *think* I started at something like 1.04 here when I started all the malarchy....but I'm not sure with the lots of lockers/unlockers/etc. that I've been trying to run (seemingly unsuccessfully...)

Anyhow, did reading. Lots and lots of reading. My eyes hurt. All 130+ pages of the no2chem thread. This thread. The other flashing for dummies. Anything I could find. The 3.16-is-real thread. Did't want to waste someone's time helping me with a RTFM error. Did I mention I read a lot ??

So, I finally get the nerve and start this process. Connect via activesync. Run the ROM updated in the Sprint 3.16 package. Connects, puts the device into BL....I see this whitescreen flash past on the device and back to bl:

00028002
Not Allow

XP errors out with "image error".

So I copy the 3.16 to a FAT32 formatted SD card. power/camera/reset - same white screen. "Not Allow".

Then back to the BL screen. Now I don't believe I need to run any locker or unlocker, since I'm starting from stock, but I try running the HARD-SPL-MFG code...Then it gets stuck in BL (Thanks for exitbl coke!!)

So, I'm at a loss right now. I want to eventually get to no2chem (hopefully the verizon-ized version, if blazingwolf re-cooks and gets it back up...) but I can't even get past step 4.!!!!

Search comes up empty for bothe the 00028002 and "not allow". Did I discover some new, obscure security?? Leave it to me!

Thanks for the help......

I think you need a program called MSL Generator, the program will ask for hex esn and will give you the unlock code

You might even be able to manually edit using this phone number

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading

is the 3.16 leaked rom that is in the guide with the updated radio stable enough to use by itself or is that the reason that everyone flashes to customs after intallng it.
just wondering because i thought about using the guide to install the 3.16 get my feet wet while waiting on the new sprint official release.

The reason ppl use custom ROMs is primarily to add/remove certain parts of the OS or add-on programs. For example, some ppl want the HTC Home screen loaded.
