anyone else downgrade back from 3.16?

lol i feel like i'm the only one who downgraded back to 2.17.

GPS was nice but i had to softreset my phone a couple times daily and it felt much slower than 2.17. Maybe it was just the applications i was running. However i did not have any problems on 2.17 with them. 3.16 install was very smooth i must admit, no hiccups or anything, and no my msid etc was not erased, GPS worked perfectly too. If i didnt have a sluggish phone needing to be reset every so often i would still be on 3.16 but alas i guess i will wait for the official release...

im thinking about going back to 217 too. For some reason, I cant get rev a speeds anywhere even though it should be working. And when I try to run speakeast speed test, the upload crashes PIE now.

I think the reason why the rom wasn't officially released yet is cuz there are still bugs within the rom. Also rev a speed might not be activ in all areas yet.

Yeah, I went back to 2.17 on Saturday night. One day with the new ROM was enough for me. GPS is cool, but not at the price of sacrificing stability and usability.

with the exception of my PIE issues where it locks my phone forcing a reset, everything else about this rom performs better for me than any of the prior builds. yes the PIE thing is a pain for now, but i think i can wait it out at least more than a DAY to jump ship and downgrade...

Never left... welcome back from the bleeding edge

I'm stoked about the new rom. Great news. The leaked early beta (let's hope its an early beta!) shows great promise. Now, let's see the real one with WM 6.1/AKU 1.0.0 on it, and we'll be golden But that rom does not look like something I want to spend a lot of time making stable.

quick question. how hard is it to downgrade back to 2.17. I have 2.17 now and am hesitant to go up in the event i cant go back down. I just use the stock 2.17 rom still locked

Well, the issues with the internet certainly were not going to fix themselves, so I was not going to wait until who-knows-when for Sprint and HTC to release an official version. Yeah, I could have lived with the PIE issues for longer than a day. But I don't need GPS...I need internet. If I knew the official version was coming out within the week, I would not have bothered to downgrade. But I am not going to put up with a device that doesn't connect to the internet properly for an unknown amount of time.

If someone else can put up with the unreliable internet connections, that is great. I cannot, however, so I didn't see any point in waiting.

it was not that bad. all i had to do was run the titan relocker (see sticky) and then i ran the old rom upgrade from the htc website.

i think ill just hold off since i'm not that familiar with unlocking and resetting all that good stuff. I gotta get my phone replaced anyway since it keeps turning when i bump it in my pocket, i dont think the sprint tech would like me having this rom on there
